"How long have you been a vampire?" Castine asked as we walked the hall in her house.

"I think two weeks"

She looked at me weirdly and snapped her fingers before grabbing Zylen and pulling him behind.

Zylen

"Are you trying to kill her?" Castine asked and I rolled my eyes.

"What are you talking about?"

"When was the last time she ate?"

I closed my eyes and rubbed my hand through my hair. "A week ago"

She laughed. "You're such an idiot, You turned her into something she wasn't ready for"

"She killed someone last time, It freaked her out. I can't do that to her anymore"

"Oh is the leader of darkness catching feelings? If she doesn't eat she can die. She hasn't even had her full transformation yet."

"Shut up" I shushed her and she looked ahead seeing Skyler glance at us and look back to the front.

"You think she's gonna like you back and you're tricking her?"

"She doesn't even like being a vampire, It doesn't matter once the curse wear's off she'll be fine"

"She'll be fine or you'll be fine?"

"You know" I said as I stopped walking and she did too. "I could always tell baby daddy Ali you got knocked up by him."

She looked down. "You wouldn't"

"I would, So I'd appreciate it if you minded your business and just help her, I'll make sure she feeds tonight" I said before walking away.

Skyler

"I need your help to get him" Castine said and stood up only for Zylen to pull me down.

"Why do you need her help?"

"Maybe it would help if I knew his name, If he associated with Jace or Jason.

"We go to school with Jace"

She nodded and I snatched my arm out of Zylen's grip. "What's your problem?"

"She's not a good person to talk to"

"Because you broke up?"

I looked down. "You don't understand"

"Yeah I don't understand why you're crazy"

He blinked and put his hand over his chest like he was shocked. "You damn well know why I'm crazy"

"I'm not doing this with you"

"Will you listen to me? All of these wolves are the same. They're disrespectful and don't take full awareness into what they do. You wanna socialize with that?"
