Chapter 38: Stuck in the bizarre triangle

"Where the hell did she go?!" I yelled as I looked around feeling my breathing hitch. I paced around the yard as I checked the corners looking for her or even some sign of her being around here somewhere when I knew it was useless. Ali always had a sneaky way of showing up and finding a way to effect me.

"I don't know, The only thing you can do is calm down, She's such a smart girl sure she can handle herself" Castine said and I grabbed her neck making her eyes grow wider.

"Do not tell me to calm down, Bitch, You never liked her and I can see why, Why on earth would someone who never had a guy stay with her be all sweet and charming to a girl who gets whatever she wants?"

She grabbed my hand and pushed me off of her slowly before shaking her head and running off somewhere else.

"That was wrong Zylen" Zane said and I put my hand up shushing him.

"I know what I did was wrong, I don't need my trainee to tell me what's right or wrong. Let's just find Skyler"

Skyler

"Let me out of here!" I yelled as I banged against the door in front of me. I banged harder panicking about being stuck in a dark room that I could only see through green vision. "Open the god damn door!"

The window on the top of the door swung open and a pair of brown eyes looked at me. I backed away and let the locks on the doors unlock one by one until Ali stood halfway through the door looking at me like he was irritated and waiting for me to say something. He has some nerve to be upset about me banging on a door when he kidnapped me and locked me inside of a dark room which seems to be in some type of dungeon.

"Are you done yelling?" He asked with his strong seemingly fake British accent. "You are really irritating me"

"Oh really? I'm so sorry you just kidnapped me you dumb motherfuck-"

"Tsk Tsk baby that language is not needed"

"Let me out of here now" I demanded through clenched teeth and he tilted his head with a smile.

"Are you going to fight me for your freedom? I mean I just woke up but it would be so fun"

"Yeah I can do that, When I kick your ass will you kill yourself after that?"

He laughed. "Oh you're funny, Micah will be here soon and he's the one who you should worry about. Lucy is probably dead by now"

My smile got off my face quicker than it appeared. "Why would she be dead?"

"Maybe because she lied to his face for years and she tried to expose everything that we have ever done. Bitches who like to get what they want from manipulating and lying to people who she doesn't even know has abilities. That's just wrong"

"So all you people do is kill others? Huh that's it? Weak"

He laughed and grabbed some type of device from his pocket. The device beeped as he slowly lifted it up to point at me. I moved out of the way and he laughed bitterly.

"I won't kill you, I already got Zylen coming for my head, Can't him having his panties in a twist, Now can we?" He said mumbling the last part.

"What is that?"

"Leverage, Your friends will destroy each other while you're gone, You may not notice but you hold the peace in the.. group? Shall I say team? Clique? Gang? Or do you prefer squad?"

"I don't have time for this" I said as I turned my back on him and his failed humor. "I hope you know this is kidnapping"

"Actually it isn't, We could've taken you so many times but you see we waited. You were the one who said you were done. That was our cue to just do you a favor and help you escape from Zylen's stupid and aggressive rules with his constant need to be in charge all the damn time"

"You're killing him, Have you ever thought that?"

He shrugged. "Have you ever thought that he's killing you?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "He loves me"

"Yeah so you say, How much do you really know about the man who also tried to kill your brother?.. Micah will be here soon"

"Wait" I said as he turned and walked out of the door. "Let me out!"

Zane

"Hey, You mind if we talk for a second?" I asked Lucy pulling her out of her conversation with Alice. She nodded and said bye before following me.

"Talk about what?"

"When do you want to tell Zylen the real reason you're here?"

She laughed. "Real reason? I told you-"

"Yeah I know what you told me, But the actual truth is that you were sent here to warn us"

She looked at me and shook her head before sighing. "I wasn't paying attention to all of the things Ali had planned. I assumed if I played nice with Nate he might tell me something that he knew he wasn't supposed to. Sadly he didn't. Realizing I was just spying on them they kidnapped me. It took me forever to leave but while I was there he told me that he would hunt down every single person Skyler loved and killed all of them.. Starting with all of you"

"Well that'll be a little hard don't you think? I'm not stupid enough to let someone kill me"

She laughed. "You must think because you were Zylen's right hand man over a thousand years ago that makes you a warrior. News flash Zane it doesn't. It makes you blind and idiotic"

I crossed my arms. "How so? We've beat him before. Be honest what ate you hiding from me"

"Nothing, Just telling you he'll kill you"

"Oh if that's it" I said before grabbing her hand and squeezing hearing her bones break.

"Ah" She yelled in pain and she tried to get my hand off of her.

"Tell me the truth or your hand breaks"

"Okay, Okay" She cried as I let go. " Zylen was one of many children in the original village. But out of six children only two were cursed with the gift of being the most powerful hybrid known to man"

"Okay there's Zylen, Who's the other one?"

"Dimitri.. Zylen's brother"
