Chapter 32- The truth behind the ancient rivalry pt. 2

I watched as her eyes slowly closed while she gripped my shirt. The dagger stuck through her chest as I tried to wake her back up.

"Don't die, I didn't know.. I thought you died a long time ago.. Please get up" I stuttered as I shook her.

"Over here" Ali yelled and I watched as a few warriors started marching over to us. I stood up and put my hand up stopping them from moving with the force I put around me.

"Do not come any closer, I did not do this on purpose"

"You murdered one of us, You killed one of us! What kind of leader would do that!?" He looked at the others watching. "He's not fit to be our leader!"

"Shut up Alija!" I said as I put my thumb and index finger together closing his mouth. "We have to help her"

"Please, Let me.. Die..." Skyler's mom whispered as she closed her eyes and dropped to the floor.

Not paying attention the force field around me stopped and they grabbed me dragging me away. I pushed them off of me and lifted my hand up rising them in the air as they kicked to be let down.

Ali ran towards me and I pointed towards him stopping him from walking.

"Do not fight me! I'm not the villain! Ali is fight him?"

I felt a weight around my hand making me scream in agony as I started to slowly fall down to the ground. I screamed as the warriors to the ground and Ali breathed out for air.

"Zylen" My uncle said as he gripped my hair and pulled my head back. "What did you do?"

"Let me go! It was an accident" I said on the verge of tears from how bad it hurt and the way everyone stared at me.

"Just relax, No ones against you"

I nodded as he waved his fingers over my head and my eyes rolled back as I fell in the grass.

I jumped up as I looked around breathing heavily. I patted my chest and sighed in relief that my necklace was still there.

I heard arguing outside and and ran outside seeing Ali standing on a table and yelling while people stood around him.

"Do we really want someone like him as our leader?!" He yelled and they yelled back no.

"Someone who hurts one of our originals and doesn't get punished because his uncle saved him!?"

"He'll kill one of us!" Someone yelled and the others agreed.

"Zylen is nothing but a backstabber who doesn't deserve to be in our presence. His parents died for him? What is he? Worthless"

I lifted my hand trying to grab him only for a flash of light to leave my fingertips then give up. I tried again and nothing happened.

Panicking I went back inside and tried to move or do anything but it wouldn't work.

"Missing something?" My uncle asked and I watched him lean against the wall.

"Why won't my powers work?"

"Because I took them away" He shrugged.

"Why the hell would you do that!? Do you not see what Ali's doing?"

"What I see is you over using your Powers, They already fear you. Have to make it more?"

"I deserve to be feared" I shouted. "My parents died for these people!"

He shook his head as the voice of Ali continuing to talk about me echoed from outside.

"The voices have been talking to you?"

"No they haven't" I dismissed as I kept trying to do magic.

"Zylen, This is serious. If you're hearing what I think you're hearing then-"

"Do not say it!"

"Then your fate will soon meet your parents"

I looked down. "I will not die, My life is not yet over"

"You think that, But I know you see it. I know that you watch it happen and I know that it worries you. This is why your parents wanted you to have more power than everyone else, So you'd have a big opportunity to defend yourself"

"I won't die, I'm supposed to complete my parents goal. I may finally be gone for good but before that happens I promise you I will be remembered for the things I've done"

"I have no doubt in you Zylen." He pointed at Ali. "But he will come for you, I've been dreaming about it for far too long and at the end. This fight will only end horribly"

I looked back at my uncle and ripped the ring off of him then slid it over my finger. "I need my powers. I'll prove you wrong and when I do you'll all wish you had just a little bit more faith in me"

"Zylen I don't think that is a good idea"

"Leave me alone, Those voices are lies! All lies! I am me and I an better than everyone!" I yelled as my voice cracked. I looked at Ali and lifted my hand up levitating him in the air.

"All of you go back to your original destinations before I rip your hearts out and sit them in front of you!" I yelled and they all disappeared quickly. I looked at Ali and threw him against the wall.

"No one is better than me. I'll prove it"
