As soon as I got permission from my aunt to attend campfire night, I rushed upstairs to get ready. First, I sorted out my makeup. Topping up my foundation and adding a thin wing to my eye makeup from the day. Then, I took out my hairbrush and ran it through my long, blonde hair. I decided to put a little more effort into it than I had this morning so I created some loose curls. Once my hair looked somewhat presentable, I chose something to wear. I went for a simple, black dress that hugged my body and came to a little bit higher than the knee. Normally, I would pair this dress with some nice heels but because we were going to the beach I chose to wear a pair of cute, strappy sandals.

I'd just finished getting ready when I received a text from Blaine saying he was outside in his car. I rushed down the stairs, yelling a goodbye to my aunt before leaving the house and entering the back of Blaine's mini. Natalie was sat next to him in the front, greeting me with a smile which I returned.

"Looking fabulous, Thea, my love!" Blaine said once he'd pulled out of my driveway and began to drive along the rather empty streets.

"Thank you! You both look amazing." I responded.

They really did look great. Blaine was wearing tight, black skinny jeans with a plain white tee and a black blazer to dress up the look. Natalie was wearing a cute, floral print dress with converse. She had also decorated her auburn hair with flowers.

For the duration of the journey Natalie was chatting excitedly about all the gossip she had discovered about people in our year over the summer. Blaine gasped at almost every piece as though it was the most dramatic thing he'd ever heard. While I tried to involve myself in the conversation as much as I could, I had no idea who the people they were discussing were. The two of them seem to forget I've only attended the school for one day. But I didn't mind because listening to the two of them chat away to each other was rather amusing.

We arrived at the beach around twenty minutes later. Once Blaine had parked his Mini, the three of us walked down the thin pathway leading down to the sand. The beach was full of people from my school, mostly from our year and the year below as majority of us were legal age to drink. There was three huge campfires dotted around and lanterns and fairy lights were strung up all around to help light up the beach. Plenty of seating areas and tables covered in an assortment of alcoholic drinks and snacks were around the beach, also.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time chatting, laughing and drinking. Some appeared to be drunk already. I mentally congratulated myself for dressing appropriately for the occasion. I personally think there's nothing worse than over or under dressing for an event, it makes me feel self conscious the whole time. I looked around and spotted Ethan standing with a group of boys I didn't recognise. I then spotted Amy and Nate sitting on a bench together. Amy was chatting away but Nate didn't really seem to be listening, instead, he was looking around the beach at anything that seemed remotely interesting. Whatever Amy was talking about clearly didn't interest Nate. I couldn't help but feel bad for her.

Eventually Nate's eyes were in the direction of us. He gave a small wave to Natalie and Blaine before his eyes fell on me. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was checking me out, giving me a once over with a smirk. I suddenly felt very aware of my short dress and the way Nate's eyes paused on my legs made me feel extremely self conscious. Amy soon realised that Nate had lost all interest in their conversation, that is, if he had any to begin with. She followed his gaze and when she saw the three of us, she frowned. I smiled at her but she didn't return it, instead, she stood up and left the bench. I frowned in confusion but apparently I was the only one who noticed Amy being weird. Natalie's attention was elsewhere.

"Oh my god, Blaine!" Natalie squealed excitedly. "They have a karaoke machine! Time for us to shine."

"Yes!" Blaine sung. "Thea, care to join us?"

I shook my head and watched them rush over, hand in hand, to the karaoke machine. Shortly after, the normal music that was playing was cut off and the sound of Natalie and Blaine singing My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion came through the speakers. I laughed at how happy the two of them were singing their hearts out, they were actually surprisingly good.

"Hey!" A deep voice came from behind me. I jumped in shock causing the voice to chuckle. I turned around to see Nate standing there. He looked so hot dressed in a tight black t-shirt and jeans.

"Nate, you scared the shit out of me!" I gasped, playfully punching him in the arm.

"Sorry," He smirked, scanning my body again this time his eyes landing on my boobs. "Do you wanna get a drink?"

"Are you asking me or my boobs?" I joked, his head quickly snapping back up to my face. He looked embarrassed which made me giggle. "Come on."

Together we walked past the crowds of people to the drinks table. Nate placed his hand on the small of my back to direct me through everyone until we arrived at one table covered in alcohol. Nate grabbed too red, plastic cups and placed them on the table in front of him.

"I suppose you don't want anything alcoholic?" He asked, inspecting one of the bottles closely.

"What makes you think that?" I questioned.

"Well, you're such a good girl I wouldn't expect you to drink." He stated, placing the bottle back where he found it and picking up another.

"How do you know I'm a good girl? You only just met me." I scoffed, he smirked.

"Well, you turned down sex with a hottie like me so my thoughts are you're a virgin and you want your first time to be special. If that's the case you're probably the same type of girl who refuses to drink alcohol." I said nothing just raised my eyebrows in amusement.

"Wait, you're not a virgin?" He asked, shock clear in his voice. All his attention was on me now and was no longer inspecting the second bottle of alcohol.

"Nope!" I smirked confidently, loving every second of proving Nate wrong. It's true I lost my virginity, yes, it was with Caine but he was special to me at the time.

"Wow! I guess I read you all wrong," He took a step closer to me, pushing me up against the table of drinks. "Well bad girl, I look forward to getting to know you better."

My breath caught in my throat at the lack of space between Nate and I all of a sudden. This didn't go unnoticed by him and he chuckled at my sudden nerves. He stepped away from me though and began to inspect bottles once again. I breathed out a sigh of relief.

I put my attention back on Natalie and Blaine leaving Nate to do whatever he was doing but I did choose to stay standing beside him. Natalie and Blaine had now moved on to their second song, Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus and I giggled as the two of them broke into a synchronized dance routine. Sadly, my view was blocked by a group of tall people once they acknowledged Blaine and Natalie. Damn, I hate being 5 foot 2!

Putting my attention back on Nate, I tried to ignore all the different types of alcohol he was now pouting in our cups. It was so hard not to say anything but I didn't want to live up to the 'good girl' reputation Nate had given me. We had school tomorrow so the last thing I wanted was a hangover but I decided that if I just have one of these drinks, I should be fine.

"So, bad girl," Nate smirked. I don't really appreciate my new nickname. "See how you can handle this."

Nate passed over one of the red, plastic cups and I took it. I put the cup to my nose and took a sniff, grimacing at the toxic fumes that filled my nose. Nate watched me closely and chuckled smugly at my disgusted face.

"What's even in this?" I asked.

"That's for me and only me to know. Nobody can down a drink like this without vomiting after." He was challenging me and I knew it.

What he didn't know, though, was that in my old school, I was known for being one of the best at drinking games.

"You think I won't be able to do it?" I teased and he shrugged.

Smugly, Nate took the drink to his mouth and began downing it, shortly after he tipped the empty cup upside down showing off that he had finished. He nodded his head towards my cup gesturing for me to try. I didn't hesitate, quickly downing the drink cockily. The burning sensation in my throat was deadly but I tried to ignore it. The cup was soon empty and I mimicked Nate by tipping my empty cup upside down too. I could feel myself wanting to gag but I managed to stop myself from vomiting. Nate's face had a mixture of shock and amusement.

"Surprised?" I asked him smugly.

"Well, Thea, I must say I'm impressed. I think you've just replaced Ethan as my drinking partner!" He winked at me and I smiled in return.

In the distance, a shaggy haired boy yelled "BEER PONG!" Nate's eyes lit up with excitement and mischief.

"Wanna team up?" He smirked and I nodded, running with him down to the beer pong match that was being set up. A few more drinks can't hurt, can it?
