"So who is this guy again?" Natalie asked, pushing her lettuce around the plastic container with a fork during lunch the next Monday morning.
I was still stressed about my situation with Nate so I decided to ask Natalie and Blaine for some advice, making sure not to mention names.
"That's not important!" I dismissed.
"You nearly sleep with a guy and you don't think it's important to tell us who he is?" Blaine moaned.
"No. I want advice not to give you two something to gossip about!"
"Us? Gossip? Never." Blaine joked.
"Guys..." I warned.
"Sorry babe, I want to help you but this really is a tricky situation." Natalie sighed, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
"And you definitely can't avoid him?" Blaine clarified.
"Nope."
"You're screwed," He said throwing his hands up dramatically in defeat. I groaned shoving my face in my hands.
In that moment, Nate and Ethan joined our table deep in hushed conversation.
"Hey, what's the gossip?" Blaine asked them.
"Ask Nate," Ethan said. Nate shot him an evil look making Ethan chuckle. "Nate slept with someone he shouldn't have over the weekend."
Natalie gasped dramatically whilst I felt a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Did Nate really just go off and sleep with someone else as soon as I broke off whatever we were doing?
"Weird. Thea nearly slept with someone she shouldn't have over the weekend too." Blaine smiled, looking rather amazed.
Ethan looked between Nate and I as though he was trying to figure something out. I felt very vulnerable like he knew.
"Really, Thea? Who was that?" Nate asked me smugly.
"Nobody special." I replied letting my sassy self take over.
That shut him up for the rest of lunch until we all went our separate ways for our final lessons. I walked off on my own until I felt a warm hand grab my elbow and spin me around. I came face to face with Nate's stupid but gorgeous face.
"You told Natalie and Blaine?" He huffed.
"Yes." I snapped. "But you slept with someone else just cos' I wouldn't sleep with you so you have no right to be pissed with me!"
"What?"He chuckled, making me even more annoyed with him. "I didn't sleep with anyone."
"Well then why did you tell Ethan you did?"
"I didn't. He just assumed we slept together and I didn't bother correcting him," He informed, shrugging his shoulders as though it was the most obvious thing. I scoffed. "You're not jealous, are you?" He smirked.
"I-"
"Thea!" A high pitched voice came from behind me, interrupting my current conversation with Nate, thank God!
Natalie was standing there with a wide, cheesy grin. "I've got a genius plan to help you with you're situation. You need a rebound! It'll make you forget about the awkward situation you had with this mysterious guy and you'll have someone else to focus on."
"Oh yeah? And who will my rebound be?" I asked.
"Milkshake boy! You got his number right?" She replied, smugly. My face lit up.
"Nat! You're a genius!!" I squealed.
Her idea was brilliant. As much as I don't want to admit it, I am starting to really like Nate but I can't like him in that way. It's too awkward and it also breaks one of Natalie's rules. I think seeing milkshake boy is a good way to forget about my feelings for Nate. I pulled my phone out my pocket and found milkshake boys number in my phone.
