Nate and I had been sitting at our dinner table now for nearly two hours, hand in hand, just talking. It's been great.

"Why are they clearing the tables away? It's only 9pm?" I ask Nate as a watch four waiters push them to one side.

"Oh! Every year, on Valentines, the restaurant stops doing food at 9pm and it becomes a dance. There's a live band and everyone can just dance till the early hours. It's great. My Dad made it a rule because my mum loved to dance." He smiles as though he's reliving an amazing memory.

"You know, I think you lied to me." I say, he frowns, confused. "You say romance is bullshit, I don't think you believe that. The things your dad did for your mum and the things you've done for me tonight - it just screams romance. There's no way you feel that way. I think you're just scared of commitment."

He watches me closely.

"Hmmm, you're good." He smirks. "Well, I guess I'm warming to the idea."

He stands and outstretches his hand to me just as the live band start playing. I smile.

"Care to dance?" Nate says in the poshest voice he could do. I laugh and take his hand.

He pulls me onto the dance floor and we dance for as long as our feet allow us. Then, they play a slow song. Nate doesn't hesitate, he pulls me closer and holds my waist. I lay my head on his chest and we sway together. The electricity zapping through me is insane but I like it, I love it. Nate called me perfect earlier, but he was wrong, this is perfect.

"I wish we could stay like this forever." I say into Nate's chest.

"Me too."

We dance to a few more songs and then leave, as much as I don't want to. Unfortunately for us, school calls bright and early tomorrow morning. Nate insists on driving me home and when he pulls up outside he walks me to the front door.

"Thank you, Nate." I say. "I had an amazing time."

"So did I," He smiles. "Can I kiss you goodnight?"

"Did you just ask for permission to kiss me?" I laugh.

"I'm still doing the gentleman thing." He whispers.

"Oh, then certainly." I curtsy. Nate smiles and leans in to kiss me.

FIREWORKS, SOMERSAULTS, ELECTRICITY.

The kiss was gentle and kind. As much I loved the gentleman act, I'd love the real Nate back. I want him to push up against a wall and kiss me passionately. He pulls away, I smile, he smiles. I don't want the night to be over but I fear it is.

"Goodnight." I say. Nate watches me as I unlock my front door and step in. I give him a small wave as I shut the door. As soon as he can't see me anymore I fall, I fall with my back against my front door and a smile bigger than the world spread across my face.

A perfect night.

It was elegant and charming, everything I always expected from some sort of prince. But part of me wants more, I want Nate, not Prince Nate. I stand up quickly, praying he's still outside.

PLEASE BE OUTSIDE.

He was.

Nate hadn't moved an inch, he was still standing in the same spot where we had kissed moments ago, the only difference was the fact that his hands were now in his hair. When he saw me coming he dropped his hands to his sides, his eyes burning with the same hunger I assume mine were. I started to run, I ran until I was close enough to jump on him. And I did. I jumped and he caught me, like I knew he would and we kissed. We kissed the most passionate kiss, now we were both on fire and our blaze was only getting bigger with every new kiss and every new touch. Nate pulled away.
