"Zip me up, will you?" I smirk, taking Nate by surprise.
After our little moment downstairs, I've gone out of my way to be extra flirty and tease Nate whenever I get the opportunity.
I can't let him know I'm falling for him and I can't let my heart be broken.
I turned to expose my open back and Nate didn't hesitate stepping forward to zip up my dress.
"Wow, I think this is the first time I'm dressing you rather than undressing you," He joked, placing his hands on my shoulders and turning me around to face him. "You look good."
"I know." I said.
"And I thought I was modest." He teases. "We should go, we're running late as it is."
We arrive at Ethan's at half 8, 30 minutes later than we should've been, we drove up a huge driveway until we parked outside a big, traditional home with white panelling and dark roofing. The green grass was trimmed perfectly without a weed in sight and the bushes were far too perfect to have grown naturally. You can tell this house is expensive without even needing to see the inside, Ethan's parents must have great jobs.
"Nate, finally!" Blaine called out as soon as we entered the modern kitchen that contrasted from the traditional theme of the exterior, it had clearly been refurbished recently. There was an archway opposite the centre island of the white, marble kitchen that led into a living room with two, leather couches and a huge, widescreen TV.
"What took you so long?" Natalie asked.
"I was... held up." Nate smirked, raising his eyebrow at me. I couldn't stop the smirk from appearing on my lips, even if I didn't want to fall for him I can't deny that the kiss I had with Nate earlier was something else. "Why do you need me so desperately anyway?"
"I need you to drive me to the pizza place." He says."Why?"
"It's not a party without pizza!" Blaine states, dramatically.
"I meant, why did you need me to drive?" Nate asks.
"My car is getting repaired, so, you need drive."
Nate nodded, grabbing his car key back out from his back pocket.
"Ohhh I want to come on the pizza run!" Natalie squealed, running to join the two boys at the front door.
"Are you coming, Thea?" Nate asked. I shook my head, no. Ethan needs help setting up the party and it's not fair for all of us to leave him alone. Nate's eyes said something I didn't recognise. Jealousy? Anger? Disappointed? But, nonetheless, he left with Blaine and Natalie.
"Do your parents mind you bringing friends round?" I asked, when Nate's car pulled out the driveway. Ethan chuckled.
"No. They're rarely ever here, right now, they're in Puerto Rico on some sort of business," He answered as he poured ice into one of the many huge, metal buckets spread across the kitchen island. I wonder what sort of business his parents could be doing there. "It used to be me and my brother, Noah, but now it's just me."
I can't help but feel bad for Ethan, it must be pretty lonely in this huge house all on his own. I join him at the island and begin stacking plastic cups.
"Where's your brother?" I had to ask, curiosity getting the better of me.
"He's in university. Drink?" He offered. I nodded. "Can I tempt you with a cocktail? My cocktail making skills are pretty impressive. Sex on the Beach? Blue Lagoon? What's your favourite?"
