"Krystal wake up!" She heard Aiden announce before she felt his body crashing down on top of hers. Since she was still laying on her bed, Aiden had landed on her back and knocked the air out of her. It still didn't stop her from snuggling her face closer into her pillow though. Aiden rolled off her and laid beside her.
"Why," she mumbled. "Why do you have to do this to me?"
"Because 1) It's time for breakfast and 2) Lover boy is currently out in the living room."
She furrowed her eyebrows but still didn't open her eyes. "What does Liam being here have to do with you waking me up?"
Aiden scoffed. "Not that lover boy, though he is here too. I'm talking about your lover."
Krystal's eyelids flew open and a smile immediately grew on her face. "Jason's here already?"
Aiden smirked at her excitement and nodded. "He's been here for twenty minutes already."
Krystal's eyes widened before reaching for her phone on the side table. It was only nine-thirty and they had agreed yesterday for him to come over at ten but honestly she should have expected this. That man absolutely hated being late.
Krystal hurriedly scrambled off her bed, which resulted in her falling off and landing on the floor with a loud thud. Aiden only laughed at her while she got up. She sent him a glare before examining herself in her mirror. She had on tight black spandex shorts and a black tank top that rose up slightly past her belly button. Her hair was widely tangled and she had a 'I just woke up' face. She groaned. She couldn't walk out of her room and into the bathroom to get pretty without Jason seeing her this crazed.
"You look fine," Aiden said as he watched her look at herself in the mirror. "I'm sure your crush wouldn't mind you looking like that."
Krystal slightly blushed and turned to face him. "How do you know I have a crush on him?"
Aiden scoffed. "Please, you practically died of excitement when I told you he was here. Plus, we all see the way you look at him. It's exactly the same way he looks at you."
It was Krystal's turn to scoff now. "Yeah right. He doesn't like me," she finished with a mumble and looked down at her feet.
"Well if you get your ass out there you'll see the effect you have on him." He got up and pushed Krystal towards the door.
No one was in the living room when they got there but, since they had an open floor plan and could see straight through to the kitchen, they saw that everyone was hanging out around the kitchen island.
Krystal knew it was him just by looking at his back. Strong build and straight posture. Jason was sitting on a stool with his back to them. Just looking at him made Krystal's heart flutter.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Jason turned in his stool only to have his breath hitch. Krystal's toned legs and stomach was on full display and her hair was wildly messy. Overall, she looked hot as hell and Jason wanted nothing more than to carry her in his arms and bring her back to the bed that she obviously just woke up from. He stopped himself, however, and managed to send her a small, almost shy, smile and quickly turned back around. Seeing her like that was too tempting and he needed to calm down his thoughts.
Krystal's smile dropped when Jason turned back around. She sent Aiden an 'I told you so' glare. She knew Jason wouldn't like her back. Aiden only shrugged.
She sat on the stool next to Jason and saw that they were having toast with scrambled eggs for breakfast. She rolled her eyes. It was obvious that it was Ryder's turn to cook because toast and eggs were the only things he could manage to make that wasn't burnt. She grabbed a plate and but some eggs on it. She grabbed some toast and proceeded to spread some nutella on top.
Everyone began making some light conversation and joking around here and there. Like Aiden said, Liam was there too and was sitting beside Liv. She figured he must have came with Jason. Jason couldn't help but glance at Krystal every few seconds.
After they were done eating, everyone began doing their chores. It was Krystal's turn to do the dishes so she quickly washed them before handing them over to Jason to dry. He had volunteered to dry the dishes and put them back in their cabinet because it was the one job that would keep him close to her.
When the dishes were done and the whole apartment was clean, Krystal excused herself to go get ready while Jason waited for her. He sat in the living room and watched the guys play Call of Duty and occasionally playing too. Liam and Liv had already left to go on their own date.
Krystal came out about fifteen minutes later and announced that she was ready. She was wearing a white, elbow lengthened button down shirt tucked into a white A-lined skirt with small light blue vertical stripes and a brown belt. She also had on a navy windbreaker because she heard it was supposed to rain later but who knows with this crazy New York weather. (Outfit at the top) She carried all of her stuff in a black backpack.
Jason shifted his attention to Krystal when she entered. He looked her up and down before scowling. "Go change," was the only thing he said.
Krystal's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and a slight pout formed on her lips. She looked down at her outfit. "There's nothing wrong with what I'm wearing."
Jason got up from his place on the couch and walked over to her. "Your skirt is way too short." He tugged on the end of the skirt in an attempt to bring it down but the belt stopped it from going any lower.
"Stop! You're going to ruin the whole outfit!" Krystal panicked. She quickly stepped away from him and readjusted her skirt back to it's original position. "Jason, this is how the skirt is supposed to look."
Jason crossed his arms. "Well, I don't like this look then. Go change. Now."
"Nope. The day has already started and you have to go along with whatever I want so if I want to wear this skirt then I'm going to wear this skirt." She stuck her tongue out at him.
Jason became irritated knowing she was right. "Whatever, lets just go."
"Goodbye boys!" She walked to the couches and kissed each of them on the forehead, though they shooed her away because she was apparently blocking their view of the TV. Jason tightly clenched his fists by his sides. Even though he knew they all saw her as a little sister he couldn't help the jealousy he felt when he saw her kiss them, even if it was just on the forehead.
She hooked her arm with Jason's and walked towards the front door. Jason let her drag him. They made their way out and rode the elevators down to the lobby. Walking through the lobby doors Krystal saw Marshall waiting for them by the black SUV.
"Marshall!" Krystal squealed and unhooked her arm from Jason's before running over and hugging him tight. Jason frowned at the lack of having her next to him.
Marshall chuckled and hugged Krystal back.
"I haven't seen you since last Saturday before the masquerade," she said. That night seemed like forever ago. "How have you been since then? How is your wife and daughter?"
"They're great! We're all doing good. And yourself?"
She shrugged while smiling. "Good. My team didn't win the All Stars but I'm not really broken up about it."
Marshall gave her his own smile before he opened the car door and motioned for her to get in. Jason climbed in after her and Marshall closed the door before jogging over to the drivers seat.
"Alright. Where to?" Marshall asked as he started the car but left it in park.
Jason looked over at Krystal with one eyebrow raised. She was probably going to want to go on a shopping spree or something and wanted him to pay for everything.
Krystal quickly shrugged off her backpack and took out a small journal. She flipped through a couple of pages before landing on the one she wanted and scrolled through the list with her finger.
"Cherry Berry!" she announced.
