"The mail room?!" she yelled.

Krystal had arrived to Steel Corporations at eight the next morning like Jason had told her and went straight up to his office. He handed her an employee badge and told her to follow him as he brought her down to the department she was going to be working at.

"Yes," he simply replied with his arms crossed.

"Come on Jason! Out of everything here do I really have to work in the mail room?" she whined.

"Krystal, we may be friends but that doesn't mean I'm going to jeopardize my business by putting you in something more important. This way my business won't suffer that much if you mess up somehow. Besides, my dad said you had to work here but he didn't say what job you had to have," he smirked.

He pointed to the bins filled with piles of mail that was already organized by floor number. "See those piles of envelopes? There is a room on each floor that's filled with mail slots. The envelopes should already have the mail slot number next to the name it belongs to. Just put the mail in their correct slots and that's it. Simple."

She huffed. "Fine. If I have to be a mail man then I'm going to be the best God damn mailman you've ever seen." And to think, she had gotten dressed up all cute for this job too. (Outfit at the top.)

The other people who worked in the mail room watched Krystal and Jason from across the room. The CEO never comes there so they couldn't help but stare at him star struck.

"Who's in charge here?" Jason asked as he looked over at them.

"That'd be me Mr. Steel," a man in his mid-forties said and slightly raised his hand.

"Come over here please. What's your name?"

"Paul," his voice slightly shook as he nervously walked over to Jason.

"Alright Krystal, you are going to be working under Paul here. On top of distributing the mail to their slots, you are going to be doing any tasks that Paul asks you to do. Got it?"

"Got it boss," she sarcastically said.

"That's Mr. Steel to you," he smirked before leaving the room and going back up to his office.

"Mr. Steel my ass," she couldn't help but say quietly to herself.

The tension in the room immediately disappeared as soon as Jason left. Everyone visibly relaxed and chatter started up throughout the room as they gossiped about what just happened.

Paul cleared his throat. "Good morning Krystal, it's nice to meet you." He held out a hand for her to shake.

She smiled before putting her hand in his. "Nice to meet you too. So, when do I start?"

He shrugged. "Whenever you're ready. Since there's seventy floors in this building we normally assign two people per every twenty floors and one person would do the top ten floors on their own. I'll have you work with Xavier over there to kind of show you the ropes."

'Xavier' looked up when he heard his name and waved his hand. He was pretty tall with a nice built body and light brown hair. Krystal admitted that he was pretty handsome with a boy-next-door look.

He finished the conversation that he was having before jogging over to them. "Hey," he said.

"Xavier, you're going to be working with Krystal today."

"Got it," he saluted Paul. "Ready to start?" he asked Krystal.

Krystal nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."
