"I met her during college," he started. "She was the popular girl and I was the typical cocky rich boy. I was, after all, supposed to inherit my fathers company after I graduated so it all went to my head and boosted my ego. God, just thinking about how I used to act back then amakes me cringe. Anyways, we had a business class together and every time I tried making a move on her she'd immediately shut me down, which of course only made me work harder. Little did I know that that was her plan all along; Playing hard to get so I'd become even more interested in her."

He chuckled humorlessly.

"After months of trying, she finally said yes and we became the 'it' couple of the school. I thought my life was perfect. After graduating, my dad finally stepped down and handed the CEO position to me. Amy and I moved in together and she would go shopping while I went to work. My parents never approved of her but I didn't care because I thought was in love with her. Amy didn't like my parents either and convinced me they were trying to tear us apart so I stopped all contact with them. I never went over for dinner and acted like I didn't know them when we ran into each other at events."

He clenched his hands into a tight fists as he stared straight ahead with a distant look in his eyes. His knuckles began turning white though Krystal made no move to comfort him more.

"By this point, we had been together for a couple of years and I decided she was the one. How stupid I must have when I decided that. I bought a ring and came home early one night to surprise her. I didn't see her when I entered so I went looking for her throughout the house."

Krystal's heart dropped, having an idea of what he had found.

I fiddled with the little black box I just bought in my hands as I looked in each room trying to find Amy. Just thinking of her name brought a goofy smile to my face. I opened the box and looked at the ring again. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.

"Amy?" I called out, excited to find her. "Where are you babe?"

I began hearing some faint noises as I got closer to our bedroom. Duh, of courses she would be there. I should have looked there first. Continuing my way to the door, I only stopped once I heard a distinct grunting sound. The voice was much too deep to have been coming from Amy. My legs continued going forward like it had a mind of its own and only stopped once I was right in front of the door. I heard a moan and knew then and there what was going on in the room. It didn't stop my heart from shattering though as I opened the door.

There laid my girlfriend, naked underneath a man who also had no clothes on. I felt my eyes widen and my throat constricting and making it hard to breath. The black box fell out of my hands but I could honestly care less at this point. The noise the box made seemed to have caught the attention of the two because they both stopped and looked in my direction.

I looked from Amy's face to a smug looking Nicholas and just like that my initial shock and hurt was replaced by pure rage. My fingernails dug into my palms painfully as I clenched my fists tight. She just had to choose my biggest rival of all people to cheat on me with.

"What the hell is going on?!" I roared, my voice booming throughout the room.

"Oh, babe your home," Amy said casually which only made me angrier, if that was even possible.

"What the hell do you think your doing?"

Nicholas scoffed. "Well isn't it obvious?" he said as he climbed off her.

I ignored him and continued staring at Amy. "How could you do this to me?" My voice came out weaker and more vulnerable than I expected.

She just laughed in my face. "What? You didn't actually think I loved you did you?"
