Chapter 28: The Successor's Incpetion

Your POV 

"I saw this dress and I think it fit you better!" "Hmm. How about try this one too." "And this," "And this." "And this!" 

Yep, you guessed it. It's no other than Hal Lidner.

"Didn't we choose a dress already?" I asked her referring to the day when she dragged me out of HQ and forced me to go and find a dress.

"But this one looks better on you~!" She playfully said before putting up a black and [f/c] dress. No kidding, it does look good.

"That looks nice. But not on me though." 

"Noo. Try it and let me prove you wrong." 

"Okay okay, Jeez woman." I replied back, to be honest it still surprises me that Halle has this side of hers. And if you haven't realized by now, we are getting ready for this party-thingy on Wammy's House. Too bad Mello and Matt can't attend. (Oh really~ ( O/w\O ) )

I got out of the bathroom with the dress on, Halle dramatically fell unconscious with a hand over her head.

"What? Does it look bad? It does, doesn't it? Hal!" 

"Are you kidding me? That looks totally amazing on you! You've gotta wear that, and it even partners up with Near's suit." She replied after being 'resurrected to life' a few seconds later.

Really? So the whole point of this dress-changing thing is to match up with Near's. Heh, you think you're the only one who prepared for this?

"Okay okay, I will." I replied unconsciously while I grinned thinking about my previous actions. It made Halle suspicious of me but I shrugged it off, it had already been done anyways.

I changed out of the dress and packed it inside my travel bag. It's gonna be a long ride from Kanto, Japan to Winchester, England.

"We're heeree!~" I excitedly announced as our car drove by Gevanni, halted to a stop in front of a gate containing a small metal sign with the words 'Wammy's House'.

"I'm aware." Said a blank voice you'd immediately recognize.

We got out of the car as I smiled excitedly. Near suggested that we come here one day before the even so we could rest. Some children playing outside already saw us and the atmosphere was questioning and confused. Some others had recognized Near and their reactions vary from bad to good, a few are quite delighted and excited but mostly they were frowning. Which confused me alot. 

A man with gray hair with a weird hair-cut was waiting for us there, according to Near his name was 'Roger Ruvie' and he took over the Wammy's House after L and Watari died. 

"Greetings, Near. It's been quite a while. May I ask who are these people here with you?" Roger greeted with a small formal smile. 

"They are people who helped me with the Kira Case, they are my fellow SPK members. Please introduced yourselves." Near replied while taking out a toy from... his giant pockets? I don't know where he puts those. 

"I'm Halle Lidner."

"Stephen Gevanni."

"Anthony Rester."

"My name's (Y/N), Nice to meet you!" 

Roger was taken aback by my cheery introduction. He was in... awe? What? Is it because I was smiling? I don't know.
