Chapter 34: Abducted

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Blood started dropping.

Slash. Slash. Slash.

Blood poured out.

Beyond cracked a smile as he watched his victim die. "You said you wanted to die, then why did you struggle when I tried to kill you? You're such a liar." He stated, his voice echoing in the almost empty blood-stained room.

"Are you serious? She was totally lying, why the hell would she post it in the social media anyway?" A blonde man said. He resembled Link, yet with red contacts, he looked like an evil version of it.

"Holy crap Ben, I swear you're such an internet-obsessed weirdo." A raven-haired man spoke up. He was pale, his skin was leathery and a smile was carved onto his face. Literally carved.

"Pfft, you're obsessed with carving smiles into people, which is just as bad." 'Ben' said.

"Can you two shut the hell up." An irritated Beyond said, sighing as he left the room to get a strawberry jam. Scanning through some files, he found his next victim.

"It had always been my dream to fly. I always wanted to feel the wind against my skin. I want freedom. I want to float away from this suffocating land."

The crimson-eyed male smiled.

"Have fun." He said, pushing his victim down the 13-story building. His victim screamed, yet there's no use for it. It's 13:13, a rare time, a rare timing to be standing in a 13-story building, on the 13th floor and in the room of 1313. The balcony was dangerous, the railings were half the height of an average adult.

Immediately after he took the pleasure of seeing his victim fall to the ground, he left stealthily. No traces were found and the police took it as suicide.

"This wasn't suicide, I'm telling you Near!"

"It was."

"No, it wasn't! I swear my intuition is right this time, it wasn't suicide. Just look at it, I mean, 13th floor and room 1313? Not mentioning that he was found dead minutes after he fell, and he fell at what time? 13:13!"

"It might have been a coincidence, or a dramatic plot set up by the person. You have no proof that it was murder."

"Near... Just trust me dammit! There had been people found dead in Japan recently, all in nearby places. A thing like this can't be easily put off as suicide. Thirteen...

Maybe it was Beyond."

Near looked at me, a glare evident on his face. "It's not him."  He said sharply, spite was clear in his voice.

"Near-"

"Retire for the night."

"But-"

"Out."

Ouch. I sighed, sadly going back to my room. What the hell is up with him anyways? Is he blind or what? Thir-flipping-teen. It's Beyond Birthday, I just know it.

|| Another crappy time skip brought to you by polar bears ||

'I can't even remember how it started.'

Footsteps echoed.

They went closer.

And closer.

And closer...

'A nagging voice.'

"(Naaameeee)-chaaan. It's time to wake up."

'My normal then departed from me.'

"Or do you want to go on a trip down your precious memory lane?"

'Primal urges spiriting my senses away,
'Foggy glimpses of the one I used to be.'

Die. I want them all to die. I want to see them screaming in pain. I wanted to see their bodies being torn in half.

'Preyed upon by the lowest of society,
They're parasitic,
Demanding your conformity.'

"Aha.. Ahaha.. AHAHAHA! She's so weak that it's so pitiful! How can she even- Ahahahaha! You're such a typical weak girl cliche brought to reality!"

'Pushing limits,
Things are gonna get real ugly.'

Die.

'Ripping through the last shreds of my humanity.'

I WILL KILL YOU!

I gasped and immediately sat up and before you ask, no, my eyes did not 'flutter' open.

"Holy flipping Excalibur, what the hell did my brain even do?!" I almost screamed. I gasped for breath in cold sweat. "And I swear if my memories are damned altered again or something I'm literally going to freaking kill someone."

"That's great."

I jumped in surprise. "Dan, if you're trying to scare me, it's not going to freaking wor-"

"But I'm not Dan. Who is he anyway? An entity I can't see? Even with my freaky red eyes?"

That's all I needed to know.

That's all I had to hear.

It was Beyond. The voice, the remark, the mention of vermillion eyes.

I tried that night, I tried to escape him. I even tried fighting him, yet I was too weak. What can I do against him anyways?

I knew hell would come.

But at that moment, I didn't know it yet, it was still 'beyond' my knowledge, all I cared about was to escape.

Thinking back, you really can't escape from your past.

It's going to chase you... forever, and ever, and ever, and ever, and EVER.
