This is quite a descriptive chapter so I've decided to leave it the way I wrote it when I was little just to see what you think!

Inigo licked her cheek as they exited last lesson. He pulled her aside and she leaned against the wall as he touched her face with his soft fingers. He’d been wonderful, kissing her instead of licking her so that she felt normal, even with all the weird looking stares they received. These vampires were obviously over hundreds of years old and had been so detached from society that they’d lost all human instinct. She even wondered who the youngest vampire was but dared not ask in case it was offensive or obvious or something which would make her look stupid.

She licked his cheek instead this time, feeling silly doing so but knowing that he’d like it. His skin was ice cold against her warm tongue but it felt nice. He tasted quite good too, which sounded really weird coming from a human, but it was true. He had a nice taste. It reminded her of something, but at the same time he tasted truly unique. Just as she expected, a slow purring noise came from his mouth and he closed his eyes as if in heaven. She felt good for making such an impression on him. It wasn’t every day that she could make that kind of reaction in someone.

“See you tomorrow.” He squeezed her hand but didn’t move away, not wanting to leave her alone. He licked her cheek once more and she hugged him before he walked off down the corridor and out of sight.

Zoe sighed and leaned her head against the wall. She felt strange going somewhere with Sebastian without Inigo and Inigo not knowing about it. Well, maybe that wasn’t true. He could have read Sebastian’s mind today. If he had, there had been no sign that he knew. No anger, nothing. Sebastian would have been bound to rub it in. Maybe he was just so confident in her that he knew she wouldn’t let anything happen. That was a lot of trust, if it was true. It almost made Zoe feel as if she had a duty to put a barrier between her and Sebastian, though as soon as she thought about it a wave of guilt overwhelmed her.

Speak of the devil, he appeared in front of her and grinned like a child receiving a puppy for christmas, flashing his fangs at her. He couldn’t even hold in his excitement for being with her. It was obvious now that he’d been waiting for this moment all day. It almost made Zoe feel worse. “Ready?”

She nodded and followed as Sebastian walked out into the yard. Everyone had left already, as usual, so they were very much alone. Sebastian didn’t have a problem with this but Zoe was a little nervous. She hadn’t been away from Inigo when she was with someone else unless it was class. He had always been by her side. Now she was alone.

Sure, Sebastian would probably never hurt her or touch her in any way that she didn’t want. However, her little body guard, correction big bodyguard, was now leaving her to fend for herself and she felt like such a defenceless little girl in comparison to everyone else. It was horrible.

“Some of the guys in class think that you know about us. Act dumb.” Sebastian advised as they went out into the town.

“That won’t be hard.” Zoe muttered.

He looked at her in disbelief. “Who got full marks on the English test today? Zoe you’re smart, especially in a class full of vampires who are so much older than you.” He nodded at a nearby building, cracks lining the corners of the brick walls, windows glaring mistily back at them as they passed. “That’s where we go after we finish the years at school, though many stay to repeat them. It’s something to do with your time. The more education, the better.”
