Your POV:

I sat on the bed of the hotel. The USWNT were in California getting ready for their victory tour. Someone knocked on my door.

"Me, Emily and Sam are gonna go for a walk. Maybe get some food. Wanna come?" Mal asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. Just sitting here is making me want to throw myself off the balcony." I got up. 

We left the hotel and walked around. 

"So. How's things?" Emily said out of nowhere.

"Pretty good." I said.

"Really?" 

"Yeah." 

"Ok. Well. I mean I'm not saying ANYTHING but I'm here for you."

"Thanks Em." I looked at Mal. "The fuck is wrong with her?" I whispered.

"I don't know. It's Emily, I don't question it anymore." 

I nodded. We walked around and got lunch. "Isn't that Lea?" Sam said.

I sighed. "Why is she still here."

"Aren't you guys still technically together?" Mal asked. 

"I guess. I don't know." Lea looked in our direction. "Fuck."

"Hey." She walked over. Aiden skipped behind her. 

"Hey." I said putting my hands in my pockets. 

"Hi Y/N." Aiden said. 

"Hi buddy." I smiled. "How's soccer?"

"It's alright." He looked down. 

"The boys on his new team are pretty mean to him." Lea said. 

I sighed and kneeled down to Aiden's height. "Hey." I said to him. "Ignore them. They're just jealous of your talent. You're such a good football player, don't let anyone stop you. Okay?"

He nodded. "Is Carli here?" 

"Yeah. She's probably busy right now but she's here." 

"We can take him." Mal said. "To go play some football, see Carli."

"Yeah. Let you guys talk." Sam said. I looked at them.

"You sure? He's kind of a handle." Lea said.

"So is this one." Sam pointed to Emily. "We got this." She took Aiden's hand. "Let's go find Carli shall we?" They ran off towards the hotel.

"Y/N." Lea said. "I'm sorry about the airport. I just saw her there and thought that you two were talking."

"And if we were?" I looked at her. "We can't talk?"

"With your history?"

"We dated. That's over now. Why are you still so worried about Morgan?"

"Cause I know you still love her." Lea sighed. "I don't know what we are right now. You left and I just assumed the worse. If this really is over, I want us to be friends. We get each other, plus you're great with Aiden." 

I looked at the floor. "And what if this isn't over?" 

"Then I hope we have a long future together." She said. 

Flashback

"You're just a bitch. You can't accept the fact that she's happy with someone else can you?" Lea yelled at Morgan.

"You can't see that she still loves me! And I still love her. You're only staying with her cause she helps with your son. You're just using her." 

Lea slapped her. "You don't know anything." Lea's hand formed into a fist.

"I'm clearly right since you're getting all worked up over it." 

"Guys!" Kling yelled. 

Lea swung and Morgan went to fight back. 

"Mommy." Aiden cried. I ran to him and picked him up. 

Kling grabbed Morgan and tried to pull her away and Ashlyn did the same with Morgan.

"I don't know if I see the same as you." I said to here looking at the street. "What happened at the airport. You two fighting like that."

"I'm sorry." Lea said. "Things got out of hand. I couldn't control my emotions." She shook her head. "And Aiden had to see it." 

"Where are you staying." I said. She pointed in the same direction as the teams hotel. "That's where we're staying." I said. "We should head back." 

"Ok." She said. 

We walked back to the hotel.
