Your POV:
December. Victory tour finishing up. 6 months for Kelley.
We were currently in LA for the 1st of 4 matches.
"Kelley." Jill said when we got to the stadium.
"Hi." Kelley waved.
"How's the pregnancy?"
"Good."
"Good." Jill walked away.
"Hi Jill. Nice to see you too." I said as she walked away.
"Want her attention?"
"Not really."
"Yeah same."
We walked to our seats and waited for the game to start.
As I sat there, I thought about how far I've come in my life. When I was 17 I never thought that I would get adopted, especially not by a soccer superstar. I never thought I'd be engaged to the most beautiful soul I've ever met.
I thought that when I turned 18, I'd be out of the system and on my own. I thought I'd have nothing.
I owe everything to Hope, yet I still have nothing.
I sighed. "What's wrong kid?" Kelley asked.
"I have to go." I said. "I'll see you later." I walked away from our seats, and soon away from the stadium.
"We just don't see her as a good fit for our family." I sat on the couch of the group home and stared at the floor.
"She's been through a lot. She's only 6, you can't give up on her after a week."
"She attacked our son."
"He provoked her."
I watched the couple leave and swung my feet back and forth.
"Kiddo." The lady who ran the group home said sitting next to me. "We'll find a family for you. There is a family out there who will love you, and protect you forever."
"Where?"
"I don't know yet. But we will find them."
Years started to pass and it seemed to only get worse. Group homes changed, anger started to build.
6 became 16 and that so called family was never found.
"Y/N!" The father of the house yelled. "GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!"
I sighed and walked to the living room. "You drink my beer?"
"No sir." I said.
"What was that!"
"No sir. I didn't drink your beer."
"If you didn't then who did?"
"You did." I looked him in the eyes. "Last night. Like you always do."
"Are you talking back to me?"
"That's how conversations work sir." I stared at him.
I was returned to the group home with bruises and no more faith in life.
I walked into my hotel room and sat on my bed.
I never fit with anyone, why did I fit with Hope?
