Your POV:
We arrived at the stadium. We started in LA for camp and were going to play Haiti here.
Jill put together the lineup. Ashlyn was in goal, Kling, JJ, Cari and Krieger were starting in the back. Our midfield had Tobin, Lindsey, Danny, and Morgan.
Crystal and Kealia were up top.
There were some new faces. Becky was on the bench for this game. She's had a great year but Jill wanted to see what Cari brought to the table. Ali was the captain this game.
Sitting in the locker room I walked to my locker.
Number 10. Yeah Carli's orders again. I swear I need to hit her.
Hope's POV:
Me and Kelley sat in the stands with the twins and AJ. The twins were 3 months old now. AJ is turning 5 next month.
"Grandma Kel I have a question?"
"What's up?"
"Do I have to call Maya aunt Maya? Like how I call Mal aunt Pugh Pugh?"
"If you want to you can."
"Ok." He said. "I'm gonna watch my mama now. She's playing."
"I know." I said to him.
Your POV:
We played good the first half, up 3-0. Crystal, JJ, and Kealia scored.
I ran onto the field and Mal during halftime. We got warmed up and waved to the fans who came out to support us. I saw AJ, Hope, and Kelley in the crowd and waved to them.
AJ got excited and waved back.
"He's adorable." Mal laughed.
"He's a terror."
The team came out for the 2nd half. Me and Mal continued to sit on the bench. Jill called us up and we got ready to go in.
Mal went in for Kealia. I went in for Crystal.
"Substitution for the US. Leaving the match number 16 Crystal Dunn and number 15 Kealia Ohai. Entering the match number 5 Mallory Pugh and number 10 Y/N Solo-O'Hara."
My first cap for the full national team. Wearing the number 10 jersey, which was worn by Carli Lloyd only a few months ago. Solo-O'Hara on the back of my jersey. Hope retired and Kelley wanted to sit out after having the twins.
Mal got Kelley's number. I got Carli's. Ashlyn was now the number 1 goalkeeper. Things have changed for this team.
Except the coach.
Tobin high fived me when I ran by her. Danny clapped.
"IT'S A DASH REUNION!" Cari yelled.
"Let's go!" Morgan yelled.
I start school tomorrow. College. I hate it already.
