Your POV:

I sat on the plane to Houston. Aiden fell asleep while looking out the window.

My music was playing in my ears as I closet my eyes.

Steph's words had my mind racing.

That day.

She cleared her throat. "So um. First congratulations Hope and Kelley. Now for my news."

I still can't get over it.

"I hope you guys are ready for 2 weddings because I'm engaged too." She said.

My jaw dropped.

I was with Lea, I should not have been so bothered by her news. But the engagement wasn't the worse part.

"I was rethinking what I wanted for my future. What truly made me happy." She looked towards me. "I was out one day and ran into Eric. Long story short we got back to together last year and it was like we never even broke up." She said. "And then he proposed."

It's like our relationship was a joke. She let me leave and was with a guy like that.

I walked out to get air and ended up leaving the party all together.

She invited me to the wedding. How dare she? Come to my wedding and watch me marry a guy?

Pass.

Our plane was landing and Aiden woke up just in time to watch. We got off and got our bags and looked for our car.

"We're meeting Carli after we get settled in the hotel."

He nodded and held my hand. The car drove us to the hotel and we got settled. "You ready to see Carli?"

"I'm tried." He said laying on the bed.

"You take a nap. I'll tell her we'll meet her after ok?" He nodded and closed his eyes. I kissed his forehead and texted Carli.

Finally he woke up and we got ready to go see Carli. We drove to the field she told us to meet her at.

"Carli!" He ran towards here.

"Hey." She said. "Ready to work?"

"Always." He said. "Y/N got me new cleats last week." He said.

"Really?" She looked at me. "Nike?"

"Duh." He said running to a bench to put them on.

"Hi." She said hugging me. "How are you?"

"Good. How about you Carlos." I said.

"You know I hate being called Carlos."

"Well score a hat trick this game and I'll stop." I winked.

"You ready for the wedding?" She asked me as we walked towards Aiden. "Why do you stretch out ok? Don't want you to hurt yourself."

"OK!" He yelled.

"Not really. Want to help me break my leg?"

"You'd really go that far to miss Morgan's wedding?"

"You're forgetting that I dated Morgan." I said. "Now she's engaged to a guy. I'd drive off a bridge to miss it at this point."

"Why don't you go. Bring your beautiful girlfriend you have. Then after you can tell Eric that Morgan was your lover."

"Lover? Really? We're using that now." She held her hands up.

"The rest of the team will be here in like an hour. Morgan included. You can get all the pre game stuff you need and I think they said Seattle's training tomorrow morning."

"Thanks Carli." I said.

Aiden and Carli practiced the whole time till the team got here. I took pictures of them training and talked to some players about game expectations.
