It was only fitting that my first game with the Dash was at home. Against Seattle.
I'd be playing against Hope. OH and Kelley. She requested a trade and some how ended up with Seattle.
Strange.
Me and Morgan drove to BBVA with AJ in the backseat.
"Mommy and Mama. Together again!" He sang. "With their greatest person! AJ!"
"You write that yourself?" I asked him looking in the rear view mirror.
"Duh?"
"He's such a smart ass." I said to Morgan.
"He's 5 now. 5 year olds get like that."
We pulled up to BBVA and parked. "Come on bud." I grabbed his hand. We walking into the stadium. "Hey look it's your best friend ever Caiden." I said.
"Hi." AJ said.
Sarah had friends at the game and they took Caiden and AJ up to their seats for the game. We walked into the locker room.
Me and Sarah were the new faces. I sat at the locker that Carli Lloyd once owned.
Warm ups were eventful. I was standing at midfield stretching and talking to Kealia.
"Oh family reunion." Kelley walked up behind us.
Kealia started laughing. "Hey Kelley."
"Hey." She looked at me. "Hi daughter." I ignored her. "Oh are you embarrassed by your mama. That's adorable. HOPE I'M EMBARRASSING HER!"
I sighed. "Rachel! Ball!" I got up and ran.
Finally in was game time. I put on my new jersey and we lined up by our jersey number. Morgan was in front cause she's the captain.
They announced the lineups for Seattle. Kelley was starting on the bench and Hope took a hit to the knee last game. They'd be watching me.
"Defender #24 Ellie Brush! Defender making her Dash debut #21 Sarah Gorden! Midfielder #17 Andressa!" The fans screamed for the small Brazilian. "Midfield #12 Amber Brooks! Forward #10 making her Dash debut! Y/N!" The fans screamed and I waved to them. They continued to scream really loud. I looked at Seattle's bench and saw Hope and Kelley clapping.
Carson gave me a thumbs down. I shook my head.
"Forward #7 Kealia Ohai! Defender #5 Cari Roccaro!" The fans screamed for her and she waved. She then looked at me and waved.
"What?" Kealia started laughing.
"It's Cari are we really questioning it?"
"Forward #3 Rachel Daly!" I looked at Sarah and she clapped for her girl. I spotted Caiden and AJ in the crowd. "Defender #2 Poliana! In goal #18 Lydia Williams!" Everyone screamed for the Aussie. "Midfielder and your captain #6 Morgan Brian!" She waved to the fans.
They played the anthem and we stood at midfield.
"Crushin it." Rachel said.
"Gotta look good for our girls."
The game kicked off and I was now a member of the Dash.
We went into the half 0-0. Randy was happy in the locker room. Wished we could've scored.
"Just do what you do." He said to me as we walked back out to the field.
So in the 2nd half I kept that in my mind. Seattle subbed Kelley and Carson in. Hope remained on the bench.
Cari sent the ball up the field and Rachel got it. She sent it across the box towards me and I shot it into the goal.
"Houston Dash goal scored by #10 Y/N! Dash goal by Y/N in the 67th minute assisted by #3 Rachel Daly."
Later in the half we got a free kick in a good spot. Morgan stood over it. She sent it into the box and Andressa got a head on it.
It bounced off Kelley who was on the goal line and I tapped it into the goal.
"Houston Dash goal scored by #10 Y/N! Dash goal by Y/N in the 78th minute."
"Another 2 goal debut?" Rachel pushed me as we ran back to midfield. "Queen of debuts over here."
"Hat trick! Hat trick!" Cari started clapping. "It's the jersey number!"
