Your POV:
My 1st day training with Houston. It was amazing. Rachel was really happy that me and Sarah got traded. Caiden and AJ were sassy best friends. Morgan couldn't wait for our first game.
"Mommy where are you going?" AJ asked when I came downstairs.
"Press conference." I said. "Talking about joining the team. You and mama are coming." I said to him.
We drove to BBVA and there were fans lined up. We walked inside and I sat with Randy.
"We're here with our 2 new signings." A guy said. "Defender Sarah Gorden and forwards Y/N Solo-O'Hara. We'll start with questions."
A guy from FS1 stood up. "My question is for Y/N." I looked at him. "After an amazing debut for Chicago they benched you. Now you have a fresh start with Houston, what are you looking forward too?"
"Playing." I said. Everyone laughed. "Honestly Houston is a great club. They've got a lot of talented players here and wish I could've been here to play with the great Carli Lloyd but I get to play with the great Rachel Daly." I laughed.
"I 2nd that." Sarah added.
"Randy you gave Chicago 4 draft picks and Melissa Henderson, in exchange received these two players, how do you feel the trade worked out?"
"I think it worked out pretty well. We lost Carli before the season started due to her retirement and were looking for more options up top. Very thankful to have gotten Y/N and Sarah is a fantastic defender. Chicago never gave her a chance but I can tell you all right now she will have that chance here."
They continued to ask questions about the trade and what we were looking forward too.
"One more question."
"This question is for both Y/N and Sarah. Both of you joining this team means that your families are complete. Is that an added bonus of the trade?"
"Yeah totally." Sarah said. "I've been with my son in Chicago the entire time but Rachel's been here and really missed him and me. Moving here and being together now it really amazing and I'm thankful to have the opportunity to play soccer for this great club and have my family together."
"What she said." I added. Everyone laughed again. "My son's turning 5 soon and I was worried I'd miss it. I'm happy that I won't."
"Yay!" AJ added. I laughed.
"There he is."
Houston didn't retire #10 after Carli retired. She said it was stupid and 10 is a popular number for jerseys.
We stood up for our jerseys. "Wearing #21, Sarah Gorden." She held hers up for pictures.
"And. Y/N will be wearing #10." He said I held it up. Fans gasped. "Carli never wanted it retired. She called me once the trade was announced and said "Y/N better wear #10" so there you go. Carli's orders." He explained.
"Of course she did." I mumbled.
Me and Sarah took pictures with our jerseys. There were so many fans to see us we put the jerseys on and walked out to the field. They screamed once we walked out.
It's time for a new adventure in Houston.
Oh Carli. Still ordering people around even in your retirement. Hope you enjoyed! You guys good or do you want another update?
