READ THE A/N AT THE END OF THE CHAP.

-------

Kenneth wiped the sweat that dripped down from his forehead for the second time now.

He had been running for the last five minutes non-stop so he could catch the bus to get to the café on time.

He missed it though.

It had been two weeks since the last time they talk, and that didn't even end well. She thought that he had another girl in his life, she thought that he was not being loyal, while the truth was she was the only flower in his garden as cliché as it sounded, it was the truth.

For the past two weeks, Ashley had been trying avoiding him, and she had done a great job at it. He didn't know how she did it, but it seemed like she knew every time he was on his way to see her because the very moment he got there, she was already gone.

Nael knew what happened though. Kenneth was struggling during the first week since Nael didn't want to listen to him and gave him a black tea instead of his black coffee.

Kenneth hated black tea.

But after the first day of the second week, he had enough and Nael finally listened to him and understood that it was just a misunderstanding all along. He tried to help him though, just so he could see her and just talk it all out.

But Kenneth's schedule had been busy for the past four days and it was finally Saturday now. So he was free to do whatever he wanted to do.

His plan was just to get into the café on time but he woke up late, and Nael had been warning him that Ashley was about to leave since it was her day off but she needed something at the café.

Which is why Kenneth had been running like a crazy person, trying to catch the bus but failed. He cursed at himself and checked his phone, he got another text from Nael saying that Ashley was still at the café. He didn't even think twice before he ran the other way, running as fast as he could to reach the café on time. He took a sharp turn and almost knocked down a pregnant lady, making him yell sorry while he kept running. After another three minutes run, his phone vibrated, Nael was calling him.

"Where the heck are you?!" Nael whisper-yelled through the phone, Kenneth looked around and gulped

"Im close." He said, taking another turn, he jumps into someone's backyard, almost fell on his butt making their dog barking furiously at him.

"How close?" Nael rolled his eyes, "Was that a dog barking?"

"Down boy, down boy." Kenneth waved his hand frantically at the dog, from inside he could hear another voice from inside making him curse at himself, "Shit, shit."

"Kenneth? What the heck are you doing?" Nael asked from the phone, for a second there Kenneth thought that it was his brain asking him the question.

"I'm running!" He jumped from another door while the dog still kept barking at him. He let out a sigh and took another turn.

"Running?"

"Yes." He turned left.

"Damn it, Kenneth, you better get your ass here right now!"

"I'm close," He took a sharp turn to right,

"I'm serious goddamn it, she almost sprayed me with her pepper spray you stupid--"

The door suddenly opened, making everyone at the café stop whatever they were doing and take a look. There he was completely out of breath and sweaty as hell. "I'm here!"
