Shawn's POV:
I wake up with A's body right next to mine. I smile and lie back down and hold her closer. My action must have stirred her as she allows her eyes to flutter open. She groans in a groggy manner and I laugh quietly as she sits up and reaches for her glasses.
"Sorry to wake you gorgeous," I apologise and she shakes her head.
"I'm alright," She lies back down and nestles against my bare chest.
"Okay," I whisper and kiss her shoulder softly. She jumps slightly at the temperature and I chuckle and she pouts.
"Stop it," She scolds lightly and I simply do it again and return to my previous position.
We get up and ready whilst A makes us breakfast. A and I go out grocery shopping as my parents wanted to go out together.
I park the car and A and I hop out and walk to the store. We get a cart and I try to sneak loads in.
"Shawn," She sighs as I drop in 3 packs of Oreos.
"Don't put them back, please." She shakes her head and carries on walking. We continue to walk round and she puts back the endless amounts of stuff I pile the cart with.
"Shawn?" I hear a voice behind me and turn round to see a girl, crying.
"Are you okay?" I ask and Arri turns round shocked.
"Y-yeah I'm fine," She stutters as she speaks; "I just can't believe I'm meeting you," I smile and hug her.
We finish with her and continue and end our trip around half an hour later. It's absolutely boiling and we plan on having a barbecue later, but first we need to collect Aaliyah from the airport.
Me and A walk into her terminal and see her walk out, she sees me and speeds up to hug us both tightly.
"Where's Mom and Dad?" She asks as we walk out.
"They went out, we're going to barbecue later," A tells her and she smiles widely.
"Awesome,"
When we get back we open up the balcony we have at the back of the apartment.
"This is lovely," Mom remarks as A lays the table that sits alongside the small coffee table and couch set. I turn on the barbecue and me and Dad do it together as Aaliyah reclines outside on the couch.
Mom and A run items for the barbecue out to us and we cook them.
"Are we okay with Austin, Liv and Charlie coming over?" A sticks her head outside and we all nod as she calls them.
Aaliyah picks up Arri's phone and the portable speaker and plays a playlist soundly.
Arri's POV:
I walk into the shared basement style room that is split between us and the others on the floor. I head to the fridge and see what everyone's been putting in this week. We all put our drinks and stuff we can't fit in the apartments in here and we're all free to take what we want as long as we refill it weekly.
I grab multipacks of Diet Coke and Fanta and then grab the form of alcohol everyone else is drinking and walk them through to our kitchen. The door goes and I open it for Liv and Austin. Liv bears her little boy in a carrier and has her handbag in the free arm. They head outside as I do to give everyone drinks.
We eat and as I clear away I hear padding of feet against the floor.
"A," I hear Shawn as I load the dishwasher; "Does your back hurt?"
"A bit, why?"
"You're badly burnt babe," He runs his hand over my back as I stand up and I flinch at the stinging feeling of his hand. "Sorry," He apologises and grabs some of the aloe ice cubes we have for burns. "Where do you want me to do this?"
"Uh, we can go to the couch if you want," He nods and walks with the tray into the lounge and instructs me to lie stomach down on the couch.
"This is gonna be cold beautiful," He warns and places the cube over my singed shoulders and back. He runs it over my skin gently until it's all gone. "All done," He sighs as he helps me up and kisses my lips quickly.
"Shawn! Are they aloe cubes? I've burnt my shoulders!" Aaliyah chases after Shawn and makes him do it for her and I laugh as he has to go through the same process again.
"A," Austin calls me over as I walk outside again; "Taylor's not going,"
"Great," I sigh and sit next to him.
"Tom did it, apparently your Mom created this idea herself,"
"Oh," I say and then feel a heavy weight sit on top of me. "Shawn," I whine and attempt pushing him off me.
"Arri," He mocks and I roll my eyes.
"Move," I sigh as he turns round to face me.
"But you're-"
"Shut it,"
"Fine," He lifts off me and goes to serve up the food, man I have a love hate relationship with him.
We eat and chat until Austin, Liv and a now sleeping Charlie head home.
"Arri, you might want to see this." Aaliyah hands me her phone that had an Instagram post on it from my Mom explaining the Kanye situation. I read it and then Aaliyah shows me the clip that Kim recorded from the phone call.
"Great, drama! Woohoo!" I say sarcastically and leave it for now.
When I get into bed that night I decide to send out a tweet: "Both sides are not right on what they've said, however it doesn't make this our battle too. Stay civil with each other please." Now I just hope that this event doesn't carry over.
