We are at our next stop and Shawn's parents left Nashville yesterday. Shawn had a show here 1 day before me so I was watching his sound check with the VIP ticket holders.
Shawn's playing Ruin as I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn round to see my best friend, that I haven't seen since April standing behind me. I practically scream as I hug her tightly. Shawn laughs and his fans look at me weirdly but a few giggle. "Alright there gorgeous?" Shawn asks and I smile as he finishes that song. "Okay, now that A's calmed down I want to ask you lot a question, who knows my song Stitches and likes to sing?" The crowd go mental, they were loud considering there's only 50 of them, and Shawn looks round. "Hey, you on your Mom's back can you just come to the front and follow Arri a second?" The little boy comes running round to the front, his smile glowing. I walk him up on to the stage and Shawn throws me a smile and mouthes; "Surprise!" I grin back widely and mouth; "Thank you," He just smiles as he walks the little boy over to a second stool that had been positioned on the stage. I pick up my grey maxi skirt to see my footing as I walk off the stage and I meet T who's sitting at the end of the front row.
"What are you doing here?" I ask quietly as Shawn continues to sing with the little boy. They finish as T quickly whispers in my ear; "Work, I've got a shoot here." I get up again to help the boy back to his parents. Shawn heads to meet and greet and me and T lie on the couch in the room.
"Oh my god," Shawn looks at the state of us, sunglasses on our heads and summer clothes practically sticking to us in the heat.
"Yeah?"
"Nothing, nothing." He finishes as the first fan walks in.
"Hey honey," Shawn smiles and walks over.
"I hope you put deodorant on Mendes, fans don't like you stinky." T laughs at my statement and Shawn rolls his eyes.
"Shut up Swift," He fires back. I return to my phone and check Twitter. This huge row has continued and as I look on trending hashtags I'm featured in one of them; #Arabellaisfake. I bite on my lip, hard. I get up and walk out the room and outside to the buses.
T's POV:
I see Arri walk out and furrow my eyebrows. I see Shawn turn around as I stand to go after her.
"Your ass is staying here," I tell him and he looks at me as if to plead against it but I raise my eyebrows and he stays in the same position.
I walk outside and see A standing against one of the buses. "A?" I ask and she looks up and smiles weakly. I pull her into a tight hug and that's when her tears spill.
"I don't want to do this anymore," She mumbles quietly and I question what she means. "Haven't you seen Twitter? The hashtag,"
Oh, the hashtag.
Shawn's POV:
"Call a 5 minute break please," I say as I walk outside to see my girl crying against her best friend. She looks up and sees me and attempts a smile that I see straight through. T walks away slowly as I hug her gently. I kiss the top of her head softly; "What happened beautiful?"
"I'm sorry, go back." She sighs and starts to push me off slightly.
"No, no A. They can wait," I assure her and hold her hands in mine.
"It's just more Twitter crap, there's a hashtag and, ugh it's just so..."
"So what?" I ask and wipe away the tears quickly.
"So frustrating," She murmurs as I run circles with my thumbs over the backs of her hands.
"What's the hashtag?" I question tentatively.
"Arabella is fake," I squeeze her hands tighter.
"Babe, you're none of that. You're stunning, inside and out. You're the most real person I know in terms of music, I promise. Come here," I pull her waist closer to me and place my lips on hers. The sweet kisses linger for a moment before I place one more on her pink lips.
"Shawn hurry up, oh s-sorry," Andrew says as we pull away.
"No we're okay. Do you wanna come back in or?" I ask A and she nods.
"Yeah, I'm going out with T later." I take her hand in mine and we walk back in.
She sits back on the couch and gets her phone out. As the first fan walks in I quickly stride over and take the phone out of her hands. She sends me a death stare and I laugh as I greet the fan. The poor girl is crying and I hug her and hand her a tissue.
"Hey; what's your name?" I ask as she dries her tears, we continue to talk until I have to move on to the next fan.
The meet and greet finishes and I meet A with T outside. "Hi," I kiss A's cheek and she blushes slightly as I throw a smile towards T.
"Arri, you're gonna burn your shoulders. Put this on," I hand her my flannel which she shrugs on over her shoulders as we leave the arena. Paps crowd us as we pace our way through the initial load. Little did A know her Mom and sisters would be meeting her in the local little farm cafe me and T would be taking her to. It's in the middle of nowhere and I hop into the rental car as T and A get in the back.
"Where we going?" A asks as I start the engine.
"Somewhere," T explains simply as A rolls her eyes.
"You two are so annoying," She remarks after a moments silence.
"That's why I'm here," I acknowledge her and she sighs as we enter a really tiny little lane. We eventually pull up and we all get out.
"Oh my god, can we go strawberry picking!" A looks at me cutely and I nod.
"Why wouldn't we?" I say and take her hand in mine as we walk with T. My phone pings and I know it's Tay but play it cool and shrug it off.
"Aren't you gonna get your phone?" A questions and I shake my head.
"Nah, it's alright." Just a signal.
We walk to the first rows of the fresh fruit and I watch Arri's face light up as her Mom and sisters appear.
"Surprise!" Ev shouts despite the fact there are a ton of people around.
"Evelyn, quiet down please," Taylor sighs as Maya clings on to her hand.
Man, you gotta love the Swift family.
