Chapter 16 

Lightning’s POV

I stood firm as Caius led his army of villains towards me. I saw many people of different sizes and forms. First was Caius. Second was Dante with three silverettes, one who was Sephiroth. I assumed the other two were Yazoo and Loz. Samael, Bastion and Lucifer came right after them. Tantalus and Creon were coming from the sides. Pain and his Paths with Tobi and Sasuke were coming behind them. Ashnard was on his dragon in the air, fighting against Alexander who was flying in the air with him. Lucinda transformed into a dragon and Odin headed straight for her. Ares was holding a spear as he walked towards me like Demise. I found it strange but normal. Devin was with him.

The rest I didn’t recognise immediately. Mario was an old man with grey eyes. He was wearing grey robes. His eyes suddenly turned red and he grew fangs. So this guy was a vampire.

Xemnas was the silver haired man who had golden eyes wearing a black zip-up cloak and a hood. He had black boots and black gloves on. I had no idea what this guy could do.

Torin was a guy with shaggy dark blonde hair and grey eyes. He had laces on the cuffs on his blue shirt. He wore tall boots and tight black pants. This guy seemed pretty weird.

Razael was a man who had black hair swept back till his shoulders and black eyes. He wore a black suit on top of a white shirt and black tie. He was wearing normal businessman shoes. I frowned. ‘Was this guy on a mission or on a business trip?’ I thought.

Astrid had blonde hair and dark brown eyes. She wore a black leather suit with a red sash around her waist. She wore black fur trimmed knee high boots. This woman seemed different.

I stood my ground. Caius smirked and ran up to me. We clashed weapons. I pushed him back and met the blade of Sephiroth. He didn’t seem surprised to see me. I jumped in the air when Yazoo attempted to shoot me. Loz’s grapple hook hit my shield and I pulled it out of his gauntlet.

He started crying when he realised it was broken. I smirked and back flipped backwards. I saw Astrid running my way as the rest backed away slightly. She attempted to kick me but I lifted my shield up and blocked her kick. She jumped back and threw a barrage of punches my way.

“Aero!” I yelled and blew them all back. I looked at the sky before looking back at my enemies. “Where are you?”

“Who are you waiting for?” Caius asked as his villains surrounded me. I looked at each and every one of them carefully. “Your precious ‘Heroes’?” Caius laughed. I looked at Tantalus and I raised my eyebrow at him. He looked exactly like Hector. “Your ‘Heroes’ have no chance against me and my allies.”

“Why did you get allies?” I asked, hoping these questions would stall him long enough for them to arrive. “I thought you were a one man army.”

He laughed. “Looks like you want to be but it won’t work for you.”

“What makes you say that?” I asked as Odin, Alexander and the Shiva sisters came surrounding them. “I have my summons.”

Caius laughed and looked at them. “What? Them? They are nothing.”

I closed my eyes. I saw Alexander and the others in the Historia Crux. That’s when I realised they were trapped. This wasn’t good. I opened my eyes and looked at the villains. I looked at Dante. He was smirking.

“Don’t want to hurt-” he began.

“You couldn’t do that in your dreams,” I answered. “Your brother really hates what you’ve done, Dante.”
