She awoke with Trevor shaking her rapidly. "Wh-What?" she asked confused.
He halted and backed up. He frowned at her. She glanced at the clock, then to him, "Dang it, Trevor! It's seven." she said and collapsed her head into a pillow, "A.M!" she exclaimed.
He cleared his throat, "Your parents." he said calmly.
She raised up and flung herself out of the bed. Barney knew his name, and Trevor called him.
Trevor sat on the couch. He was in a nice navy blue shirt, and blue jeans.
Payton had two guest bedrooms. Plus a comfortable couch. Her parents loved the one on the end, so Trevor spoke up, "I guess I'm staying in the guest bed on the right, huh?" he yelled while he petted Barney.
Payton was getting ready in the guest bathroom. "Yeah!" she yelled back. Her bathroom could be used. Nothing was wrong with it. She just wanted to be close to the door, just in case they randomly show up.
"They called. They said they'd be here at nine-thirty." he yelled back.
Trevor put food in Barney's bowl, then let him out to use the bathroom. Barney came back in.
After awhile of waiting, Payton came out with her hair into a tight bun. Her red tank top matched the white capris.
"What do you think?" she asked.
Trevor scanned her then looked back up to her fair makeup covered face, "Wow."
"I'll take that as I look amazing." she smirked and he did, too.
Trevor started to make a lot of pancakes around nine o'clock, thirty minutes later, he was done.
They were at the door. "Trev, mind getting the door?" she yelled and fixed up the bedroom Trevor would be staying in .
"I fixed pancakes, though!" he yelled. He had a apron wrapped around his waist.
"Please, Trev!" Payton yelled back.
"Fine." he yelled calmly and the knocking got louder.
Payton smirked. She always won.
Trevor opened the door, "Hi, Mrs. Carver, and Mr. Carver."
"Hello." Payton's mother, Diana, said. They've never met Payton's friends.
They've met Page and Jessica, but that's it.
Kenneth whispered into Diana's ear, "It's the boy who picked up the phone."
Payton hadn't told them about a boyfriend. Diana wanted her to get one. Kenneth wanted to check the boyfriend out.
Thinking that Trevor was Payton's boyfriend, Diana smiled widely, "Where's Payton?"
"Oh, sorry, please come in." he moved aside and they came in.
"She's making the bed." he said. Kenneth saw Payton and gestured to Trevor.
Payton didn't understand the gesture, so she ignored it and then looked at Trevor, "Are the pancakes ready, Trev?"
"Oh. Y-Yeah!" he looked at his apron.
Diana smiled, "Sit, Trev," she assumed it was his name, "I'll get them. You cooked, it's the least I can do." She insisted.
After awhile of protesting, he gave in and Kenneth sat on the couch.
"Diana is persistent." Kenneth chuckled.
"Yeah," Trev replied, he laid the apron on a hook and joined Kenneth on the couch, "she's nice, though."
Meanwhile, Payton followed Diana in. They hugged, and Diana asked, "Is that a boyfriend?"
"Mother!" Payton scolded.
Diana looked over, "He seems nice."
Payton's blood rushed to her face. She looked at the pancakes and then put a few on a plate, "We're good friends." she replied calmly to her mother's assumption.
They took the plates into the living room. Kenneth and Barney were hitting it off.
Diana asked Trevor, "How long have you known Payton?"
"Since college." he replied.
"Oh." she looked at Payton with a smile.
"Trevor, how long have you and my daughter been dating?" Kenneth asked this in between chews. Payton's eyes widened, and then she blushed. She looked at the floor in embarrassment.
Trevor choked on his food, and his face turned red as he coughed.
"Trev, you okay?" Payton asked and sat her plate on a nearby table.
He nodded quickly, as he stopped coughing, "Yeah, I'm fine."
Trevor turned to Kenneth, "I'm not dating your daughter, Sir."
"Why not?" Kenneth chuckled.
"Daddy!" Payton exclaimed scoldingly.
Trevor cleared his throat, "Uh, excuse me." he said and walked to the kitchen.
He ran his fingers through his hair and discarded his uneaten food.
Payton walked in and done the same to her food, "I'm sorry." she said low.
"They've wanted me to get a boyfriend ever since I hit twenty." she stated.
Payton chuckled sadly, "I'm sorry. This was a bad idea. I should've warned you my parents are boy crazy."
Trevor had been staring at the stove, he turned around and looked at her, "No, it's fine. Aren't the kids usually boy crazy, not the parents?" They shared a chuckled. Trevor added, "It's fine."
"Really?" Payton sighed relieved.
"Yeah. Come on. Can't keep the in-laws waiting," he smirked, "just kidding."
Payton smirked and the two sat back down. They all began talking about everything.Soon it hit night, everyone crammed into bedrooms and slept.
