"Morning," Payton waved to Trevor, he was cooking, "what're you fixing?" she asked. It was August 17th.
Payton sat down and awaited Trevor's answer. Trevor looked back, "Grilled Cheese." he smiled and put the plate in front of her, "What're we doing today?" he asked and sat down and ate.
"You're buying the house, remember?" she said while eating.
His eyes widened, "Oh, yeah, Chase called. He wants me to stay late and help him, can you..." Trevor rubbed the sweat off his neck, and frowned, "Can you?"
"Can I?" she repeated, worried.
"Yes, you can." he got up, and kissed her head. He then walked to go get his water, then returned and ate. Payton smiled.
"I guess if you believe in me, that's all I need." Payton chuckled and finished eating. Trevor was done, it was elven a.m. Barney and Lilly came back in, and were muddy.
Payton smirked, "I'm already ready, I can't get muddy."
Trevor playfully rolled his eyes, "I'm also ready, but since you're working with the house, I'll wash the pups off. Tell Chase I might be late."
Payton leaned back, "What? I'm waiting on you until twelve."
Trevor nodded, he grinned, "Hey, I, I, uh, need you to... well... give me a towel."
Payton suspiciously looked at him. She felt bad about not offering herself to wash off the pups. Payton grabbed a sip of water, then followed Trevor into the bathroom. Trevor gave Payton a kiss as she walked into the bathroom.
Trevor ran the water then called his pups, "Lilly! Barney!" he shouted. The two raced in the bathroom. Trevor gestured for them to jump into the water. Lilly hesitated, Barney was washed a lot at the clinic. Trevor didn't know about Lilly, as he got her at the pound. They said she came from an abusive home, and that they've had her since she she was born, that her mother died in birth because of the abuse.
Trevor rubbed her head, she probably never had a good bath. Lilly watched Barney happily splash in, and Lilly jumped in. Trevor's face and body was soaked, Payton laughed crazily.
Trevor looked over with a serious scowl, Payton laughed harder. Trevor began laughing with her.
Lilly and Barney both yipped, trying to get attention. Payton and Trevor looked over. Trevor used a safe shampoo, humans could get it on them. Trevor, after the pups were covered in shampoo, washed off the shampoo. Trevor looked over at the bored Payton.
"Come on," he said with a head gesture to the pups, "you can afford to get wet, can't you?"
Payton sighed defeatedly, handed him a towel, then looked at the door, "I should go, and..." before she could find an excuse, Trevor flung water on her.
Payton gasped, they looked at each other for awhile before Payton flung water on him. Trevor grinned and picked her up. She kicked, the pups barked. She stopped struggling as she didn't want to kick the pups.
Trevor eased her in the tub, the pups made room for her. The shower head was running, and Trevor turned it off.
Payton stood up, soaked to the core. She looked at him through wet hairs, and smirked. He was confused, but quickly started to run. The pups chased, and Payton stepped out of the tub.
Payton dipped a cloth into the water, it was now soaked. She also grabbed a cup and filled it with water from the tub. She chased after Trevor with a grin. She saw the pups barking and jumping.
Payton ran over and saw Trevor play with Barney and Lilly. Trevor seeing Payton, ran off. Payton chased him into the living room. Trevor halted, cornered at the door. He stared at her.
Payton held the wet cloth above his head and squeezed it, the water soaked his hair, neck, and shoulder. She then tossed the water in the cup onto his chest. He grinned, and chased her. They halted at the tub. She smirked. He smirked. Payton started to run, but slipped. He caught her.
She stood up and looked down at all the water they tracked around the house, "What time is it?" she asked.
"Fifteen till twelve." Trevor replied and looked up, "We better hurry!" he said and walked over to the door, Payton started to walk out but saw the mud the pups brought in.
She looked over, "Okay, let's hurry."
In fifteen minutes they were driving to the clinic, they arrived somewhat late, but Trevor explained it to Chase and Chase didn't care.
Payton went over to the bank, where most real estate deals went down. Payton was nervous, she stared blankly at the woman at the desk until she looked up from the computer, "Yes?"
Payton played with her hair nervously, "Oh, I'm here for the house on the end of the street." she clicked her fingers, trying to remember.
The woman sighs, "You should just tell me the name of your party, and what time the meeting is, or was."
Payton nodded, "I'm Payton Carver, the meeting was, uh, is at five." she saw the clock, it was four fifty. The woman scanned the computer screen.
"Ah, down the hall Miss Carver." the woman instructed, "They'll be a door which is labeled Mrs Bartley."
Payton didn't miss a beat, she was striding down the hall and opened the door. She saw a woman behind a desk. The woman looked over quickly, "Have you heard of knocking?"
Payton saw a family, the family that was selling the house, "Oh, sorry." she smiled sheepishly, and just stared. The awkward silence was growing long.
"Well, close the door and take a seat." the woman instructed.

Payton got home around eight, candles were lit across the dining room table. The lights were dim, and a romantic movie was paused on Netflix. A delicious steak was cut up and roses were in between the table.
Payton eased the door shut, "Trev?" she called out, confused. Trevor poked his head out of the bedroom door, she saw him down the hall and waved. Trevor smiled.
"Pay, you're home." he said, and walked in, "What a surprise!" he said and hugged her. She laughed.
"What's all this?"
"Oh," he rushed over to his iPhone and began playing a romantic song, he then turned around, and pulled out a chair, "please, have a seat."
She didn't dare argue, instead, she sat down and smiled. Trevor sat down, "So, how did the deal go?"
"Good, we need to move in tomorrow, well, start moving in anyways." she chuckled. "I want to be basically moved in by the time our wedding comes."
He nodded, "So, September 30, huh? That's when we're officially married."
"I'm officially a Williamson." she nodded, "Payton Williamson, what a nice ring." she smiled.
After they ate--they talked while eating--, Trevor got onto one knee, held up a diamond ring, "Payton Carver; I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Ever since we were young--well, younger-- I knew I wanted to be with you. I knew it was sudden, and stupid to ask you to marry me when I did, but it doesn't change how I feel. I love you, and I do want to marry you. I want our marriage proposal to be done the right way. So, will you, please, do me the honor of letting me be crazy with you?"
Payton smiled, "Of course." she nodded. The two tightly hugged then watched a romantic movie.
It was nine-thirty, and Payton sent pictures to everyone. Payton looked over, "Tomorrow we need to start packing." she said then walked toward bed, "Coming?"He nodded and followed. The four--Payton, Trevor, Barney, and Lilly-- went to sleep.
