Trevor was packing, "Why can't we ask Page to help pack? She has a truck, why can't we barrow it to move more stuff?"
"Because... She's at work."
"Okay, after that?"
"No, Trev," Payton said, and continued packing things int boxes.
"Why not?" he asked, folding his arms, refusing to pack any further.
"Because I said so." she retorted. She continued packing.
Trevor didn't move, "I'm not a child, Pay, okay. Just answer my question."
"No!" Payton said, looking back at him.
Trevor's eyes widened, did they just bicker? "Okay..." he said low.
Payton frowned, "I want this move just to be us, I haven't really had ownership of anything without help from my parents, or friends. I just want to own this move." she sighed, "Sorry, I'm just in a bad mood."
Trevor frowned, "I'm sorry, too. I shouldn't have been pestering you."
"Dang right!" he teased. He stared at her and chuckled, as did she. They had the living room packed up. It was eight a.m, and Trevor had called for a truck. They woke up at six, and began packing after showering, eating, feeding the pups, etc.
The truck arrived, and they packed it and went to their new home. They worked on it for awhile, Trevor repainted one of the guest rooms a sky blue. They packed for three more hours.
Finally, they had the kitchen, living room, and one bedroom packed.
Payton was sweating as they rolled into their work space. Jessica chuckled, "What happened to you?"
Trevor kissed her head, and she hugged him. Payton replied, "Moving." she collapsed in a chair, but was called by Chase to help him.
At the end of the day, they spent four hours packing and unpacking at the move-in ready home. After unpacking some minor detail, they were ready for tomorrow. Finally, Payton rested on the couch, "What a day."
"What a month." he corrected her. The two laughed, he sat on the couch. She kicked him off. He grinned, and nodded, "If that's how we're gonna play the game." he smirked, "Then let's play!"
He grabbed a water gun that he found, and began shooting. After an hour of total chaos, they settled down around nine. Trevor hugged her, "I need to go change, I'm soaked."
"Same here." she replied, and grabbed a sip of water. After playing with the pups, they changed and rested on their bed. Payton her paws, "Three, two, one." she counted down and they jumped into the bed.
Trevor looked over, "Tomorrow, we ave to pack up this room, then the Television, then we can move into the other home. Plus, the food from here. And the dog stuff." he tapped his chin, "I need to get internet over there, and phone, and T.V!"
"We can go off cell signal for awhile, and YouTube." she nodded, "We can do it."
The two--four, including the pups-- fell asleep.
