He pulled off to the side of the road and made a phone call, must have been to Zane. He told them we were there and heading up the trail. We lost service as soon as we got to the cabin. There was a small cabin way up the mountain. It was a small enough for two yet it was cozy and the fireplace was already going. Inside the front door was this small area for our shoes and coats then we entered into the living room where the dining table was and the kitchen. It was small but it would do for our time here. The bedrooms had dressers and beds in them there were two rooms. The cabin was a great place to escape to but I wondered how he knew about it.

"Where did you find this place?" I asked looking around

"It used to be my dad's we would go hunting here every year. When he passed away he gave it to me. I come here to think about a lot of different things. In fact the last time I was here was when I ran into you at that restaurant and made fun of you for being pregnant. I came here with guilt and shame. I took a hike to the top of the mountain and sat there talking to my dad. I knew it was wrong but I was running from what I thought would eventually come back to me. I was right and I'm pretty sure my dad sent me a sign that day."

"So this is yours, and you come here to clear your mind? Is that why you brought us here?"

"Yeah, we have a lot of thinking to do and we needed the space to do it. There are two rooms one is yours and the other is mine. We have to have a clear choice and sleeping in the same bed is not going to give us a clear choice."

I didn't have much to say but I knew it would probably be for the best. He headed outside to gather wood while I sat on the sofa reading from the collection of books on the shelf. This weekend was going to test my patience with him and hopefully we would make the right choice. Our son made the stakes higher but neither of us wanted to get hurt. I would get over it if I was hurt but I'm not so sure our son would. It's hard to grow up without a daddy and when you need him the most he's not there. This was going to be a long weekend to say the least, but I had to make the best of it.

As the day grew to night I decided to make some dinner but there was so much food in the cabin I didn't know where to start. I pulled out some burger and some pasta, tonight we would have spaghetti and meatballs. I made the meatballs first in hopes that he wouldn't be back before it was done. They made the house smell amazing and there wasn't a seasoning he didn't have. While the meatballs were cooking I decided to make homemade spaghetti sauce with the tomatoes I found in the fridge. By the time dinner was done Weston came trudging up the walkway. There were two plates set on the table and I was serving dinner when Weston came in.

"Smells good in here, what did you make?"

"Spaghetti and Meatballs."

We ate in silence again but I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone would say something. He cleaned up the table and put the dishes away while I made sure the fireplace was still hot. There wasn't much to do here in the way of TV of any type of electronics as we were cut off from the world up here. It was nice to not have to worry about it. I didn't want to let something else consume me while he thought about what he wanted. Even though I knew what I wanted I should have thought about it too. I was tired before long and headed to bed. Weston showed me where everything was and if I needed anything where his room was. I settled in while listening to the sound of the forest surrounding us I drifted off into a deep sleep.

I could hear pots and pans moving about and I could smell pancakes. He was up already making breakfast for us. It was nice to know he could cook too. I made my way downstairs in my jammies and robe while I looked on at him in all his glory. He too was still in his jammies shorts no shirt. It was hard to look at him without wanting him and let's face it he was a great looking guy.

"Good morning, I've got breakfast ready if you're hungry." He said looking at me.

"I'm always hungry and it smells great."

We ate in silence for a brief time then he spoke.

"When were done eating I want you to get dressed were going into town to do some shopping and a few other things."

"What will we be shopping for?" I asked

"You will see, its going to be fun at least I hope it's going to be fun."

"Where did that truck come from?" I asked looking out into the driveway

"It's mine but I only use it when I am here. Did you notice how hard it was for my car to get up the mountain? That is why we have a truck, to get us back up here once we are ready to come back. Then we will leave in my car again."

"I see." Was all I said as we finished eating.
