Falling for Him

Chapter Eight

"Woah..." one of the jocks said as his mouth was wide open when he saw Cara. He quickly grabbed Damian in the arm and signalled him to look at Cara who was putting books in her bag and checking her phone. Damian looked at her and frowned.

"Hey," Damian greeted with a grin. Cara smiled and greeted back. Damian took his jacket off and placed it on her shoulders. "I'm okay, I'm not feeling cold," she told him, amused.

"It's not that," Damian said, his voice dead serious. "Those jocks are probably mentally undressing you now," he added with a frown- which Cara found cute. Cara looked at him and noticed his jaw clenched. "Oh," Cara mouthed.

"Why the sudden change of style?" he asked. Cara's expression changed, she took the effort to dress up and this is what she'll get. Damian noticed the change in her expression. "Yeah, you look beautiful, you look beautiful in whatever clothing you're in," he told her.

"I don't know, I just wanted to to try something new," she sighed and closed her locker door. She leaned against it and looked at Damian. Damian held her on the shoulders and leaned down so their faces were on the same level.

"It's good to try out something new, as long as... welll... um.. you know... you... um..." Damian cleared his throat, he didn't want to say 'don't attract guys and definitely not perverts'. Cara nodded, getting the point. "Let's just say as long as you don't wear clothes that are too revealing."

Cara blushed, she looked at her outfit. "I have an extra archery uniform, you can ask Emilie to do a few changes to it," Damian told her and handed a green hooded jacket. It had his name at the back and the school's archer logo at the fron on the left side of the jacket.

"Thanks Ian," she said, giving him a hug. "I won't know what to do with out you," she tightened her hug. Damian smiled and returned the hug, "Anything for you."

Cara pulled back, smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "I'll see you at lunch?"

"Yeah, I'll see you at lunch," he nodded.

Cara was about to go but she remembered something. She turned around and called out his name. Damian heard her, turned around and raised his eyebrows with a smile.

"It's movie night tonight, you in?" she asked with a mischievious grin. Damian smiled and nodded, which made her smile grow bigger and wider. Then, she turned and headed to the Fashion and Design club room, where Emilie is often found.

"Psst... Emilie!" Cara called Emilie who was working on something with the sewing machine. Emilie stopped what she was currently doing and looked up. Cara then entered the room.

She learned her lesson the last time she surprised Emilie while she was working on a dress. Emilie was so concentrated on her work that when she was provoked she took the scissors and chased Cara around the room for precisely seven seconds.

"Fashion Emergency much?" Emilie laughed at her best friend who was cladded in an oversized leather jacket. Cara rolled her eyes and took off the jacket, since no one was in the room.

"I need to change my outfit, Damian said it was too-"

"Revealing?" Emilie cut her off with a smile. Cara nodded as she sat on the table that was beside Emilie's. "Yeah, I mean, I can already see your hot pink and black bra," she teased. Cara pouted and squealed due to frustration. She gave Emilie the hooded green jacket.

"Damian said you could do a few changes to it," she told her. Emilie turned the hoodie over and checked it. She placed it down and looked at Cara.

"Are you sure you want to do changes? I mean, this looks like one of those clothes boys give you and you're supposed to give sentimental value on it," Emilie told her. Cara looked at her surroundings, thinking. Yes, she wanted to do what Emilie said- which is to keep it, but what about her outfit?
