Falling for Him
Chapter Eleven
Hey people!
I'm sure you've read my previous text about the new guy and girl! Well, get ready to meet her! Other details, just for this subject, why not approach them and asked for yourself?
Hugs and Kisses!
- Secret ;)
This feels wrong, Cara thought. She closed her locker door and turned. She wondered why the people around her were all looking at the same direction with wide eyes and open mouths. She turned again and saw the new girl.
She had brown hair and green eyes- just like her. Her skin is evenly toned and she looked like a model.
Judging from the cover, she looked like the girls like Stephanie. But from the inside, who knows?
Those words crossed Cara's mind. The girl walked towards her with an angelique smile."Hi," she said. "I'm Nicole," she held out her hand. Speechless, Cara took and shook it, "I'm Cara."
"Oh, the Secretary," she said. "I met the school President, he mentioned you. He also said that you could give me a tour and help me around?" Nicole grinned.
Cara grinned back, "Sure! I'm on my way to the Fashion and Designs club room to visit my best friend, you into fashion?"
Nicole shook her head and smiled, "I'm a figure skater and a gymnast. You think you can bring me to the person in charge in sports before visiting you friend?" she asked. Cara smiled, "Sure."
Cara took her to the meeting room and saw Jake arranging some papers and folders. Ever since their school changed principals almost everything changed. Since the principal believed in versatility, all leaders, captains and people with high ranks or places in their respective sport or club group have to be part of the Prefectorial Board. It's either they step down from their position or take it.
They stopped by the door, "That guy there," Cara motioned her hands towards Jake who was busy doing his work. "Is Jake Ericsson, he's the quarter-back of the football team. He's one of prefects here, he'll be able to help you." She added. Nicole was checking Jake out before looking at her and thanking her.
"No prob," Cara smiled. "Alright, I gotta go, bye!" she added and stopped by the school cafeteria to buy a cup of capuccino and a cup of iced chocolate.
"Hey," Cara greeted and entered the room with a cup of Capuccino and Iced Chocolate. She handed the Capuccino to Emilie who was busy working with a dress.
"I saw the new girl, I even talked to her," Cara sat on the table that was just beside Emilie's. She took a sip on her chocolate drink. Emilie shrugged it off and continue with the outfit she's been working on.
"Hmm... yeah," she muttered. Cara sighed and watched Emilie stand up and put the newly made dress on one of the manequins.
"What's wrong?" Cara asked, concerned. She's been like that since the day before. Emilie isn't actually the type who goes around with a gloomy demeanour that's why.
"Nothing," Emilie replied with a fake smile. "I'm having my period, PMS-sing," she added. Cara gave her the 'I know you're lying' face. Emilie looked at her capuccino and sighed.
"The new girl, I know her- she was from my former school. We were best friends," Emilie looked at Cara then back to her cup of capuccino. Cara looked at her with awe.
Emilie told Cara about the things they used to do, how their friendship became deeper and how it unfortunately ended.
"It all ended because of a guy," Emilie gave out a sad smile and shook her head. Cara pursed her lips, she's glad Emilie move on with things fast- as moving on fast means lesser drama and Cara is not a big fan. Suddenly, her phone buzzed.
Meet me in the school garden, I need to talk to you.
- Jake.
Cara breathed in heavily and heaved out a sigh. "Jake texted, he said he need to talk to me," she said jumping off the table she was currently sitting on.
"Good luck!" Emilie gave out a weak smile. Caa was already near the door when she stopped and looked at her.
"Maybe I'm just gonna stay here," Cara said as she went back to the spot she used to sit on earlier.
"No, it must be important" Emilie said. Cara smiled, "I'm not gonna let some guy ruin our friendship. I wouldn't know what to do without you," Cara told her with a reassuring smile.
"I'll just meet him some other time," Cara told her and took out her phone.
Can we meet some other time?
Cara sat on the table and watched Emilie work on a new outfit. Not long after, her phone vibrated.
Starbucks after school? My treat ;)
- Jake
Ermm... sure.
- Cara
She sighed. Emilie stopped her sewing again and looked at Cara. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know, I'm just wondering why Jake so serious in his texts," Cara said. "It's so...-"
"Not like him?" Emilie interjected. Cara nodded. "Well, maybe he misses you," she smirked. Cara rolled her eyes.

After school...
Jake was at Cara's locker waiting. Right after he spotted Cara coming, he waved and smiled.
Cara gave him a nervous smile and greeted him. She was about to ask why he needed to talk to her until someone called out her name. She turned around to see who it was.
She smiled, seeing Damian running towards them in his basketball jersey. "Damian!" She greeted with a wide smile. She was relieved- at least she and Jake won't be alone, unless Damian isn't coming with them.
"Where are you two going?" He asked. It was obvious he'd been "torchured" during basketball training. He was drenched with sweat and he looked really tired. But, his bright smile says otherwise.
"Starbucks," Cara replied. Please come with us, she thought. Damian smiled, "May I come with you two?" Cara looked at Jake and he just shrugged. Cara beamed and turned to Damian, "Sure!"
