The one

chapter 18: 6 months later

5 months later: GRADUATION DAY

 i put my red cap on that went with my graduation gown. It was finally time.

I walked downstairs to see alex and john sitting on my counter in their gowns eating muffins, it was 7:05, and we had to be at school  by 7:30.

i smiled at them and we got our stuff and walked to our car. About ten mins later we were at school. i smiled as a breathtaking tall tan boy got out of the car next to me. 

"Hey babe" he said grinning and kissed me.

"Hey jake" i laughed.

We all got in line, Jake and John together since their last names started with G's, alex somewhat down the line behind them, and me a little futher down. One by one we were called down and got our diplomas. None of us made speeches, since that was just for the top 3 in our class, and that certaintly wasnt us.

It was over by 9 and we all headed out to the greeting area where everyone was talking and taking pictures.

We all took many pictures and i took 4 with my poloroid camera to have right now. the first one was of me and alex, we were both holding thumbs up with one hand and the other pulling us close together, our mouthes wide with excietment. Alex was really tan since it was june and she had lightened her hair and curled it, she looked hot as hell. I was paler, thats the swedish in me, and my hair was wavy and really long. We looked happy as ever.

The second one was me and john, john was facing me and me facing him, he was standing straight and towering over me since he was 6'5. I had him pulled really tight and my arms wrapped around his chest in a bear hug and his arms around my waist. He was laughing and i was too. 

The third one was me and Jake, and no it wasnt a cheesy kissing picture. We stood side by side and both stook our tounges out and did a piece sign and held hands with the other. We didnt like to show affection in pictures. 

And the last was a group photot of us four with our arms arounded the groups shoulders. we were in no paticular order, not couple by couple since we didnt feel like that was mandatory. None of us would get jelous if their bf/gf stood by the other guy in the group. We were all inseperable and protective. Jake was protective over Alex, and John over me. Jake was on the left, his arm around Alex, who was next to me, then John. We all had our arms up and around the peoples shoulders next to us.

i put these photos in my purse and smiled then walked to the car.

"POOL PARTY TIME" Steven, one of the guys friends, hollered. Everyone in the senior class was going to Stevens mansion, everyone and anyone. We all got in a random cars and drove. 

 I sat in the back of pollys hippy van alone looking at the pictures and smiliing. The windows were down and i was wearing a white flowy dress with converses, finally  had taken that gown off. it felt like summer. And it finally actually was summer.

I closed me eyes and smiled.

i knew in my heart i was in for a great summer.

TWO MONTHS LATER:

"guys all off our letters are in!" John yelled joyfully.

We all sat on the couch in johns living room with our acceptance letters. We had finally graduated our senior year and now we had our fate in our hands.

"You go first" I said to Alex.

She excitdly opend her letters, "I got into... UCLA, New school, and... FLORIDA STATE!!" she screamed!

We all cheered, we all wanted to go to Florida state together and prayed that we all got in.

"Okay my turn" Jake said, ripping open his letters.

"Im in at, Central State, university of michigan... YES I GOT INTO FLORIDA STATE!" He screamed and high fived Alex.

John ripped his open, "Michigan, yes, South Carolina, yes,... florida state..YES" he screamed too.

We all cheered with excitment now it was my turn. I looked at my envelope nerouvly. I didnt do to well at school, I was always traveling for photo shoots the first three years of high school so my grades kind of sucked.

"Here goes nothing" i said nervously.

I opend them up and started reading. "New school, in! Mary mount manhatten.. In! Florida state..." I stopped in horror. I didnt get in.

"Jane?" John said.

"Jane did you get in" Alex asked.

I stared at my transcript shocked. 

"No" i uttered out.

Alex gasped and I stood up and walked out of Johns house and sat on the side on the road. 

"Jane are you okay" John asked walking up to me.

"How can I be John? All of my friends are going to Florida state, and ill be 20 hours away in New York" I said, tears in my eyes.
