chapter 13: John turns 17

FRIDAY NIGHT

“Alex what should I wear?” I asked.

We were standing in my room, music blaring. School was over and we were about to go to John’s 17th birthday party. This party we all dressed up nice, the football team was throwing him a suprise dinner party at a fancy resturant, then having a huge rager after at my house. My grandma was out of town, as usual, so my house was perfect. My kitchen was full of kegers, the counters lined with vodka and drink mixers, red solo cups and wine coolers. the pool had colorful lights set up in it and a bunch of rafts in it. The DJ was setting up outside. I locked my brothers and my grandmas door, leaving a window open so i could get in later. Alex came out of the bathroom, she had on a long sleeve vneck skin tight, red suade gucci dress that her mom gave her for her birthday, but she never wore it before.

“ALex! oh my god!” I said.

Her hair hair tossled waves in it, and looked extra blonde against the red suade. Her makeup was light, showing off her adroable freckled skin. She looked totally flawless.

“John is going to go crazy when he sees you” is said, in awe of her.

She laughed, “god i hope so!”

I went into the bathroom and changed into a skin tight blue channel shimmering vneck bodycon dress that showed off my boobs and my legs. My hair was wavy like Alexs. She came in a minute later,

“Jane!” she moaned. “you look gorgeous!!”

we looked in the mirror. We were dressed similar, both in tight long sleeve v neck dresses. She paired her red dress with 4 inch nude heels that had a red bottom. I wore 5 inch solid black boot heels. Our hair was almost the same, both wavy, but I had a middle part and hers was to the side. We looked unbelievable. We heard a knock on the villa door and walked outside where everyone was waiting to take pictures.

There were about 20 people. Jake and John stood off to the side waiting for us, while all the other couples took photos. All the girls were wearing heels and dresses, and the boys nice pants and button down shirts. Jake had on a teal button down, he knew that was my favorite color on him, and black dress pants. John had on a dark blue button down, Alex’s favorite, and khaki dress pants. When they saw us walk out, arms linked, they gasped. Everyone turned around and wowd us. Alex hobble exited jogged to john who greeted her with a huge hug. His famous grin was on, but bigger then ever, his eyes wide in awe of her.

“Alex oh my god” he said, standing back to check her out.

Jake hadnt took his eyes off me as I walked over to him. He slowly made his eyes up my body when i was finally there.

“Jane, oh my god you look, wow you look, lets just say gorgeous, beautiful, sexy they are all understatement.” Jake said.

He couldnt take his eyes off me, and for once i was feeling the love that i wanted from him. I gave him a hug and we posed for a photos. Some just me, some me and him, some me, him, alex and John, and then a couple with the whole group.

“God Im one lucky birthday dude” John said looking at Alex.

Jake had hired a limo, and everyone was riding in it. When we were done taking photos we walked to the limo and got in. All the boys sat together and the girls sat together. I sat between Polly and Alex, my only two close friends. I hadnt made any other close friends, i guess i didnt need too. We danced in our seats to the music, and blushed when we noticed that our boyfriends hadnt stopped looking at us the whole time. When we got to the resturant i noticed that more people were there. This dinner party was going to be huge! We walked in and saw that the resturant was reseved for his party. This was the first time I realzed in fact how rich Jake, John and Alex really were. I guess everyone here was rich, but didnt like to show it. There were already about 20 people here, some couples some just friends. I didnt know anyone, they were from all neighboring schools, anyone who was friends with John. And he had a lot of friends. There was a big main table at the front saved for a few of Johns closest friends, Jake & Me, Jay, Mathew & Polly, Andrew and of course, Alex. We all sat down and they started bringing out food. We all ate, talked, told stories, joked and around 9 we all got into our cars and headed back to my house. When we got their, people were already there, the ones who werent invited to the dinner party. I made sure to put all of my personal stuff in my brothers room and locked it so know one could take anything from down stairs. People were in the pool, the hot tub, on the beach, inside dancing and drinking. It was awesome.And it was huge, john was super popular. There was about 230 people total at the party. I looked out side and saw Alex and John dancing on the table to the music together, a crowd of people beside the table dancing, few taking pictures of them. John didnt drink at all, ever since his uncle died when he was 5 from alchohol poisioning he made a pact to never drink. Last week Alex took part of his pact and didnt drink either. There they were, perfectly sober, dancing together on top of a table, having the time of their lives totally in love. John reached for her, she put his arms around his waist and they kissed long and hard. Everyone took pictures and cheered them on, then they started dancing again. I saw Polly standing alone by the bar so I walked up to her,

“Hey!” she said cheerfully.

“Hey girl, whered Mathew go?” I asked her.

“Oh hes somewhere around here, last time i saw him, him and Andrew were about to go get more beer from outside.” she said smiling.

“How long have you two been together?” I asked.

“About 6 months!”

“Great! Yall are adorable!”

“Thank you!” she said.

“Look Polly, i know we didnt get off on a great foot, but i consider you as one of my two friends and I would really like for us to become better friends” i said.

she smiled wide, “Me to Jane!”

“Great! Do you want to stay the night tonight? Alex, Jake and John are staying the night, Mathew can stay too!” i asked her excitidly.

She nodded, “yes, that would be awesome!”

“Okay cool! Find me later, Im going to look for Jake!” I told her before walking off just as Mathew came back, and giving her a kiss.

I walked around down stairs looking for Jake but couldnt find him. I walked up stairs and I caught glimpse of a Teal shirt like Jakes. I followed it upstairs but it disappeared into a bedroom with a mysterious girl in a purple dress. The door was closed and I knocked, no one came to the door. I could here laughing inside the room. I barged open the door and my jaw dropped. Tears fludded in my eyes at what I saw. Jake was laying on the bed, his shirt off and a girl I didnt know on top of him making out, his hand up her dress.

“Jake!” I screamed.

He looked up at me and his eyes got wide.

The girl saw me and screamed, “Get the fuck out!”

I ran towards her knocking her off him “Get the fuck off my boyfriend!”

She looked up at my shocked, “boyfriend? I didnt know he had a girlfriend” she said, tears swelling up in her eyes.

I turned away from her and looked at Jake, he was so drunk, at least 8 beers he had dranken.

He got up and stumbled, “Jane Wait” he sluttered out.

I stormed out of the room and ran down stairs, tears rolling down my cheeks. I ran into the kitchen and looked for Alex or Polly and i couldnt find them.

“Jane! Jane!” a voice yelled.

I thought it was Jake so I ran out the villa door, down the patio and to the dock, kicking off my heels as i went. I started crying hard and a hand grabbed my arm and pulled me into their chest and started hugging me. I leaned back and looked up, it was John.

“Jane whats wrong” he asked,

“Its Jake he was in the room about to fuck this girl” i said, tears streaming down my face.

John pulled me into his chest and i started to cry harder. “Jane, im always here for you. You’re like my sister, I love you.” he said.

“Whats going on here” an angry girls voice said.

We looked up and it was Alex. She was angry, but when she saw my tear streaked face she ran towards me grabbing my arms, forgetting any anger.

“Jane whats wrong” she said pulling me into a hug,

“Jake” I sobbed.

Alex looked up at John, who had turned red from anger and grabbed his arm. “John control your self” she said.

He pulled free and started walking up the yard,

“He fucked up big time” he hollard.

Alex held me as I whipped my tears, stroaking my hair and telling me im going to be fine. I got my self together and we sat down at the end of the dock, our legs dangling over the water.

“What happend Jane”

“I was looking for Jake and I saw him and some girl go upstairs so i followed after him, then they went into a bedroom and closed the door so I opend it and he was laying on the bed, his shirt off, and the girl on top of him. She was in a mini purple dress, and they were making out. On of his hands were up her dress, and one on her boobs.” I said, tears falling again.

She hugged me. “John is going to make him pay” she said soothing me.
