chapter 9: truthful feelings

Alex and I were finally done cleaning and we headed down stairs to the kitchen.

Alex walked over to the window, “Look at them out there, they are sitting down having like a deep conversation!” she said.

I walked over and looked. It was true, they were sitting beside each other on a log, in a serious deep conversation.

“I wonder what about?” I said.

We walked back into the kitchen and started making sandwiches for us and the boys. They walked in without us knowing, John ran up behind Alex and grabbed her waist, Jake ran up behind me and tickled me playfully. Alex turned around immediatly and John planted a big kiss on her nose, causing her to laugh. I turned around and hit Jake in the mouth with the piece of cheese that was in my hand.

“Hey!” he said, laughing then bit the cheese.

“Mhm Smells good in here!” John called out

“Hell yeah it does” Jake said back.

We all started laughing, then grabbed drinks and plates and sat outside at the villa table. We started eating, and me and Alex were making eye contact. We both wanted to know what they were talking about before they came in. I gave her the “Ask them” look, and after 3 tries she finally did.

“So how was putting up the jet skis?” She asked.

“It was such a pain in the ass” Jake said moaning, I elbowed him “Aw poor baby” I mocked. They all laughed,

“But anything for you” Jake said, hitting my playfully in the arm, and taking a giant bite of his sandwich.

“So what were you two talking about” Alex said.

“Yeah, you looked like you were having a deep conversation” i added, not letting Alex go in alone. They looked at eachother nevously,

“Ah nothing, you know guy stuff.” John said, eating his sandwich.

“Like?” I asked.

“You too” Jake said blaintly. John gave him a look, that cleary said "SHUT UP".

Alex turned to john, “Good or bad?” she asked.

“good” Jake said, answering for John.

“Come on tell us!” I whined.

They looked at eachother and shrugged, “fine” John said, “We talked about last night and how it was for us, then we talked about how we feel about you both.” he said.

“Jake.” I said, wanting more information.

“Jake said his night last night was great, actually he said it was the best, then he said hes only know you for 2 weeks and he is already falling for you. Then he got mad at me about the whole lunch thing and for trying to take you away from him and how we was so mad because he thought you would go for me or jay or mack or whoever instead of him and that he was really mad that you told me about your job before him.” John said to me.

“John said that last night was awesome, he couldnt stop smiling the whole time he talked about you, then he got mad at me when I made a comment that if he was dating Jane and I was dating you that I would still be in love with Jane. He got mad and almost beat me up for that because he misinterpreted my words, because I didnt understand what he asked me. I thought he meant if we all broke up right now and switched girlfriends, not if i never dated jane and he never dated you. Then he said sorry and that hes really protective over you because hes in love with you, and he doesnt know how because you have only been dating for 3 days but hes totally whipped and in love with you.” Jake said to Alex.
