"You suck you know that right?"

I look at Tobin and just laugh.
I pull her into a hug and she kisses my forehead. I got early acceptance into UC Berkeley, so I'm the first one leaving.

"You still love me." I say.

"Don't get in trouble, I don't want to have to bail your ass out of jail." Hope says.

"I make no promises."

Hope pulls me into a hug and I kiss her cheek.

"What, do you have nothing snarky to say to me Ash?" I ask.

"I hope you get eaten by a shark when you go surfing."

I look at Ash and she has a straight face. Ali smacks her arm and we all start laughing. Ash pulls me into a hug and when she let's go my bus is called.

I say my last goodbyes to everyone before I get on my bus. Its about a five hour drive, so I pull out my phone and plug in my headphones. I turn on one of my many Spotify playlist and zone out, forgetting everything around me.

I grab my sketchbook out of my bookbag and finish a drawing I started working on while I was back in Brazil. Its a huge piece that's going to take me a while but I don't mind because I want it to be perfect.

I draw until I see the campus. This bus I'm on takes me right to the front of the school, which is great. I start packing my things away, when the bus stops I grab my stuff and make my way to the main office.

I find the office and go inside to the front desk. The lady, whose name I can't seem to remember, helps me out. She gives me a few packets and my dorm information. Once I have everything I need, I go on the adventure of finding out how the hell I get to my room.

After about thirty minuets of walking around, I start to give up.

"Are you lost?"

I look up and see a girl with blue eyes and short blonde hair, that's shaved on the sides.

"Yeah, I can't find my dorm." I explain.

"I can help if you want."

"That would be great."

"My name is Hannah."

"Y/N."

Hannah shows me to my dorm and we talk on the way there. I find out she's a Junior here, and is studying English literature along with taking Japanese as a language.

On the way to my dorm Hannah tells me about the campus and where certain buildings are. We finally make it to my dorm and its a pretty decent size. Hannah helps me put my things away, even though I insist she doesn't have to. I mean she did walk me all the way here. I don't have a lot of stuff, just clothes. So everything is put away in about twenty minutes.

"Well, it was very nice to meet you Y/N." Hannah says.

"Thank you for helping me. Hopefully I'll see you again." I say.

"You probably will, I do a lot of everything around campus."

Before Hannah leaves we exchange numbers. I think Hannah and I will be really good friends. I close and lock the door behind her before making my way to my bed.

I open the packet the lady in the main office gave me. Inside, is my schedule and some other things I wasn't really interested in reading at the moment. I get my schedule and my bookbag then decide to walk around campus and check things out.

I decide find all of my classes so on the first day I know where to go. I walk to the athletic department and look around. The field and facilities are amazing! My dorm isn't far from the athletic department, which is great for me. When I have practice early in the morning or practices that are right after class, I won't have to go far.

Once I'm done looking around I go to find something to eat. I find this taco spot which is so good, like best taco ever good. I head back to my room because I don't really know what else to do. I look at my phone to see what time it is,

3:43 PM

I shrug, deciding to call it day. Maybe I'll make some friends eventually. I make my way into the building and to my room.

"I was wondering when you were going to get here."

I look up and see Alex standing there with her arms crossed.
I smile and run into her arms, I've really missed her. I wrap my arms around her waist and Alex puts hers around my neck.

"Looks like someone missed me."

"Shut up, when did you get here?" I ask.

I pull away from Alex and look up at her.

"A little while ago." Alex says nonchalantly.

I roll my eyes and take her hand in mine.

"I'm so happy your here with me." I whisper.

"Me too."

Alex and I both go and lay down on my bed. She sits with her back against my head board and I put my head on her lap. She starts running her hands through my hair, relaxing me.

"Come on we have to catch up, how are things with you and Julie?" Alex ask.

I take a deep breath, I knew this question was going to eventually pop up.

"We broke up."

I can tell Alex is shocked, she stopped playing with my hair but then continued.

"When did this happen?"

I sit up and tell Alex the whole story. The end I'm in tears, and Alex has her arms wrapped around me. I sit up and wipe my face with my shirt.

"You know I hate when people see me cry."

"Shut up."

Alex smiles causing me to laugh.

"You don't always need to be tough, even the toughest people need someone."

The rest of the night is spent getting Alex unpacked and catching up. Orientation is tomorrow for the people who got early acceptance. Its eight at night, so we both agree to spend the rest of the day in our room together.

Having Alex as my roommate is going to be great. I just hope that things don't get weird because I do still have feelings for her. I don't know if she still feels the same way because I made her wait. But we're literally going to be together 24/7 so we'll see what happens.
