Jill called Alex and I into the January camp. A lot of the girls have retired and there are a lot of new players. The camp is in California and its only a few hours away so Alex and I decide to make the drive. We drop Rocky and Blu off at the kennel and are on our way.
"Babe are you okay?" I ask taking Alex's hand.
"Yeah." Alex says.
"Don't lie to me." I say.
"I just feel gross." Alex says.
"Rest, I'll wake you up when we get there."
Alex closes her eyes and falls asleep. The drive for the most part was quite. Besides the traffic and the radio its not too bad. We get to the hotel and park in the parking lot. I wake Alex up and we grab our things and head inside.
"Look the lovebirds finally showed up." Kling says.
I roll my eyes and pull her in for a hug. I look around and see Mal, she see me and runs over and jumps into my arms.
"Hey love." I say kissing her cheek.
"Hey, I missed you." Mal says getting down.
"I missed you too." I say.
"What about us?" Hope asks.
I smile and pull her in for a hug. When I let go I see Carli and hug her too.
"How's married life treating ya?" Carli asks.
"Well we've had our ups and downs but I wouldn't trade it for anything. What about you?" I ask.
"She's the love of my life, I couldn't be happier." Hope says looking at Carli.
Slowly but surely everyone starts arriving. Jill gives us the keys to our room and Alex and I go unpack. When I'm done I look over at Alex and she looks out of it.
"Your most definitely not okay." I say walking over to her.
"I'm just tired." Alex groans.
"Well love come eat dinner and then we'll come back up and head to bed."
Alex agrees so we go down and join the team. During dinner Alex looks like she's getting worst and the girls notice. I just shake it off and when we're both done take Alex upstairs. I lay her down and lay next to her, we'll shower in the morning. Alex puts her head on my chest and I wrap my arms around her. She fell asleep almost immediately, I guess the drive tired me out because I fall asleep not soon after.
-Next Day-
We're at practice and not only has Alex been off her game but she looks worst than she did yesterday. Alex is doing drills but stops and makes her way over to the sideline. I make my way over to Alex and she sighs knowing the reason I'm coming over.
"I just feel weird." Alex says.
She lays her head on my shoulder and I pull her into me. I look up and see Dawn and Jill making there way over to us.
"Hey, what's going on?" Jill asks.
"Alex isn't feeling good." I say.
"Come with me." Dawn says.
I help Alex walk into the training room and as soon as we get there she beelines to the trash. I hold Alex's hair as she empties the contents of her stomach. When she's done Dawn gives me a chair. I try to sit Alex in it but she won't let go of me, so I sit in the chair and pull her into my lap. When Alex is sick she's super clingy which I find adorable
"Alex we're going to take you to the hospital." Dawn says.
She nods her head and I carry Alex to Dawn's car. On the way there Alex keeps her head in the crook of my neck. When we get there Dawn stays in the waiting room while I go into the room with Alex. I fill out the information for Alex and give it to the nurse when she comes in. The nurse does a few tests then leaves the room. A few hours later the doctor comes into the room.
"How are we doing today Ms. and Ms. Morgan?" She asks.
"I'm doing good Alex on the other hand isn't doing so good." I say.
"Well I can tell you why. Congratulations Alex your almost three months pregnant." The doctor says.
I look at Alex and smile before getting up and kissing her. We've been trying to have kids for a while.
"We're gonna have a baby." Alex cries.
I nod my head and she wraps her arms around me. The doctor does a few more tests before they discharge Alex. Dawn was still waiting for us when we walked out .
"Congratulations!" Dawn says pulling us both in for a hug.
"Thank you." Alex says.
Dawn drives us back to the hotel. Practice is over and we now have free time. Alex and I walk to our room and find the team waiting there for us.
"Hey we heard what happened and wanted to make sure Alex was alright." Carli says.
"She's fine, she's just pregnant." I say nonchalantly.
The girls look at me before freaking out and pulling us in for a hug.
"I can't wait to be an Aunt!" Pinoe yells jumping up and down.
"My child is not allowed to come anywhere near you." Alex says.
