I'm sitting in my locker with my headphones on and my eyes closed when someone taps me. I open my eyes and see Jill standing in front of me.

"Alex, Y/N I'm so proud of you both. I know you both have your pregame rituals but I just had to let you know." Jill says.

Alex's locker is next to mine and has been for the past year.

"Thanks Coach." Alex says.

"Yeah we couldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for you."

Alex puts her headphones back on and closes her eyes. I get up and go over to Hope.

"Do you have it?" I ask.

"Yes, just like I had it five minuets ago when you asked me." Hope says.

"Sorry, I'm just nervous." I say.

"Understandable, but everything is going to be fine." She says.

"Come one guys, its time." Carli says.

We all get up and line up in the tunnel. The refs start walking and we take the field. The national anthems are played and the announcer calls mine and Alex's name. We walk forward and our families come on to the field.

"Playing in their 100th game Y/N Y/L/N and Alex Morgan!" The announcer says.

The crowd goes wild and our teammates cheer. We're both handed flowers and we all get together to take a picture. We get in our positions and the ref blows the whistle. Alex and I are both playing as forwards today, we're playing Switzerland. We have ball first so I pass it to Alex who passes it back to Tobin. Tobin keeps the ball and advances up the field. She finds Alex and sends her a lofted ball so I start a run towards the box. Alex gets around her defenders and passes me the ball. I take a touch and on a wild hunch shoot. I've never tried with my left but there's a first for everything. The ball hits the crossbar and deflects off a Switzerland players and goes in. I run to Alex and jump into her arms.

"Well that was quick." Alex says.

I laugh and we go back to our side of the field. The game continues and we keep possession of the ball. There are chances here and there but they're either blocked or not on frame. I have the ball and I'm getting around players I see Alex open so I pass her the ball and she takes the shot. Even through it was at the keeper Alex shoots the ball with power and scores. She walks over to me and I kiss her cheek.

"What happen to being professional on the field?" She asks.

"If I want to kiss my girlfriend I'm gonna do it." I laugh.

We go back to our half and the game continues. There are only a few minuets left and the first half ends 2-0. We go into the locker room and Jill talks to us about the game plan. When she's done we get hydrated and wait until its time to go back out. Jill told me she's going sub me out around the 85th minuet, which I'm fine with. We go back out and Switzerland comes out guns blazing and score a goal. We reset and end up with a free kick, Julie sends in a lofted ball and I get my head onto it and its in the back of the net. As we're heading back to our half Julie hugs me and I return the hug, we're on pretty good terms now. I look at the clock and its the 80th minuet, I know my time is almost up. We get a corner kick and I take it, I find Moe who finds Alex and Alex places it just pass the goalkeeper. We reset and the game continues when it goes out of bounds the ref blows the whistle and signals for a sub. I look over and see my number in red. As I walk off the field the crowd cheers which brings a smile to my face. Kealia comes in for me and I hug her before she runs onto the field. I shake Jill's hand and sit next to Hope on the bench. The game ends soon after and I get the necklace from Hope. Before Alex walks off the field I go over to her and take her hand. I lead Alex to the middle of the field and look into her eyes.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too you dork." Alex laughs.

"No, I've loved you since high school and now that we're out of college and moving on with our lives I want you to be in my life officially." I say.

"What are you talking about?" Alex says.

I get the necklace and get down on one knee.

"I know you'd loose your own head if it wasn't attacked to you so I decided to put the ring on a necklace. Alexandra Patricia Morgan, will you marry me?" I ask.

Alex has a smile on her face but doesn't say anything. She takes a step towards me and pulls me onto my feet. She nods her head and I press my lips against hers. When we pull away from each other Alex turns around so I can put the necklace on her.

"Y/N Y/L/N Morgan, I like the sound of that." Alex says.

"Me too." 

I look up and see the team standing there smiling at us with our families. I grab Alex's hand and we walk over to them.

"My baby is all grown up." My mom cries.

I laugh before pulling her in for a hug. When everyone is done freaking out Alex and I walk into the locker room. I sit in my locker and Alex comes and sits on my lap.

"I love you." Alex says.

"I love you too you dork." I say.
