I woke up the next morning with Alex asleep on my chest. Classes didn't start until tomorrow and we didn't have anything to do today so I just let her sleep. I got my phone and started scrolling through social media. I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw someone sent me a DM. It was Julie, she sent a picture of me and her on our first date with the caption

I'm sorry but I just can't forget about what we use to be. You said Forever & Always but I guess you didn't mean it...

I went to iMessage and texted her

Me: Don't try and make this my fault, you cheated on me remember!

Julie: I know and I'm sorry

Me: I can't do this, I need you to stop this. We both need to move on with our lives.

Julie: Okay.

I went through everything on my phone and deleted everything that had to do with Julie. I need a fresh start and I couldn't do that with her in my life. Don't get me wrong I still love her, we were together for over a year how could I not? Alex started moving and then she opened her eyes.

"Good Morning." Alex rasped out.

"Hey." I say.

"What's wrong?" Alex asks.

"Julie." I say.

"What did she say?"

"She wants us to get back together."

"What did you say?"

"No."

Alex moved so she was on my chest again. We both just laid here not saying anything, until she broke the silence.

"What's going on with us?" She asks.

"Do you want to know what's going on with us or the kiss?" I ask.

"A little of both."

I sit up so my back is against the headboard, Alex does the same.

"Look I like you, I've liked you since the first day I've met you. But Julie was always there in the back of my mind. She got to me first and I'm not going to lie I loved her, I still do love her. But she's no longer in my life. I still like you Alex and I don't want to rush into anything too fast because I don't want to hurt you. I want to make sure I'm 100% over Julie before I start something with you." I say.

"I understand what your saying but last time I almost had you and I lost you. I don't want to lose you this time Y/N." Alex says.

Alex sniffs and I look at her, she had tears running down her face. I wraps my arms around Alex and pull her into me.

"I promise you won't loose me this time. As soon as I get my shit together I'll tell you and you'll be my number one." I say.

I make Alex sit up so I can see her face and pull her in for a kiss. Alex puts her arms around my neck slightly scratching turning me on. I keep my arms around Alex's body, keeping her in place. Alex pulled away and stayed on my lap.

"I'm hungry, you wanna go get something to eat?" I ask.

"Yeah." Alex says.

We walked to one of the many Starbucks on campus and got some coffee and bagels. We stayed there and ate talking about nothing in particular. My phone buzzed, it was a text from Servando.

Serv: Look up

I was confused at first until I did and saw him walking in. I got up and went over and gave him a hug.
