Feeling the hot water against my sore body feels amazing.

I hadn't realised how tired and sore I was until I got home and really felt it in my back.

When I stepped out of the shower, I saw how puffy my eyes were from all the crying I did today. It made me laugh.

I got ready for bed and looked down at my hands. That's when I noticed something I hadn't paid much attention to yet.

My wedding ring.

Along with the absolutely stunning engagement ring, I now had a beautiful simple ring that would always remind me that I was with Simon forever.

It made me emotional, but I was too exhausted to cry.

Simon appears in the doorway of the bathroom just as I am about to come out.

He has a glow to his face, which makes me smile, but he also looks exhausted.

"You look tired, baby." I say.

"I am, but I am in need a shower." He says with a deep, tired voice.

"Go ahead, I'm going to check on Angelo."

I step into his room and notice the light is still on, and he's still in his little suit, passed out on the floor right next to his bed. He must have fallen asleep even before he could change.

Wanting to remember such a cute moment, I grab my phone and snap a picture. It was probably the 564th picture I had taken that day.

Then I carefully try to take his suit off of him without waking him up, which was proving to be quite difficult.

Just as I was about to slip his pajamas on him, his eyes fluttered open.

"Mummy, what time is it?" He asks, looking confused.

"It's late, peanut. I'm just getting you ready for bed." I whisper.

"Are you and daddy married now?" He says, his eyes lighting up as he remembered what happened today.

"Yes we are, baby. Did you have fun today?"

"It was the bestest day ever." He says with a tired smile.

I pick him up and he lays his head on my shoulder.

"You did an amazing job today, Angelo. Daddy and I are very proud of you."

"Thank you, mummy. I'm so happy I did it!" He says proudly.

I lay him down and cover him with his blanket. He was beginning to drift off already.

"I'm glad. Goodnight, peanut, I love you."

"I love you too, mummy." He says, shutting his eyes and falling asleep almost immediately.

My heart feels so warm and complete.

I walk back into my room and see Simon sitting on the edge of the bed.

We are both emotionally and physically exhausted.

I sit down on his lap, wrapping my arms around him and feeling his arms wrap around me.

"We did it, babe, we did it!" I say with an excited tone.

"We sure did. I think this day was incredibly successful and one of the best days of my life."

"I will never forget this day. I can't thank you enough for everything baby." I say, laying my head on his shoulder.

"You already have just by agreeing to be my wife!" He says, sliding his hand up and down my back.

We sit there together like that for a few moments, just losing ourselves in thought.

I was so full of happiness and gratitude and it felt so lovely.

We finally get extremely tired and crawl into bed, pulling the blanket over us.

Simon's warmth surrounds me as he comes close to my body and puts his arm over me like he always does.

"Goodnight, Mr. Konecki, I love you." I say.

"I love you too, Mrs. Konecki."

Peacefully and with an incredible amount of happiness, we fall asleep for the first time as husband and wife.
