Isabelle knew exactly who the twins were, a piece of information she held from his father, but they’re arrival was completely surprising and the fact that they were the ones being rescued from the Missan prison, she knew someone of her own kind was already captured but the last beings she would think of were the twins, they were far too hidden and protected by their parent’s last set of protection.
The boy who was shot also intrigued Isabelle, she never saw him before and he was pretty human, only the first born of the creations of Zeus were given the heritage but something was off about the boy. He was clearly not of the first born generation but he was born under the influence of Zeus’ creation, does that mean that he was also passed with the gifts of the first born? Isabelle didn’t have the answer to that since she was an only child but may the twins had answers, one of them would probably be the first born. Or both of them inherited the gifts but portioned equally.
These were all the questions Isabelle had in her mind once she had the chance to lay on her bed. The twins, the boy and Aaron, and the heck of a day she had.
Isabelle closed her eyes for a few seconds and she already felt the presence of another being. “I know you’re hiding,” she said out loud with her eyes closed.
From the bathroom a young man appeared, it was the guardian of Geb, which adds up to the problem of Isabelle. “How did you figure out?” he asked.
“I didn’t,” Isabelle sat up from her bed, “I just figured that with Aaron hitting here, you’ll be here as well.”
“Luna needs to join us now,” the guardian said as he sat with Isabelle. “We need another champion by our side,”
“We don’t need another guardian, my dad will be hard to break, Zeus will be harder,” Isabelle thought out loud. “We need Tin-tin, she may persuade him to free Jenevere,”
The guardian rubbed his chin and thought of the plan. “I doubt it, but Geb and Pele don’t get along, Aaron isn’t open at all to any ideas, and Martha is planted firm with the Company.”
“How about the others like me, found any?” Isabelle asked.
“Found a lot actually like four or five of them, Tin-tin is with them when they found us,”
Isabelle stared at the camera roaming in her room, she had it disabled since being the daughter of the Lords of the Watchful Towers had some advantages but something intrigued her, the LED lights that indicated that it was operating was on, she didn’t know how long was it operating, days, weeks, but it was definitely new to her.
“You need to go, someone’s watching, I’ll meet you at the hospital, there’s something about the boy that I need to know,” she immediately said and right then the guardian was sucked into the carpet together with the sand he brought.
Isabelle took her coat and packed a few personal belonging. She kept her things light and intact as she casually walked through the empty corridors leading up to the core. The scene was still fresh from the arrival of twins and yet she stopped caring about them, someone was watching, somebody knew that they were building a small resistance, Isabelle just needed to get out of that place.
She took the elevator ride alone, it was one of the longest minute of her life as the lift ascended. Isabelle rushed away once the elevator doors opened, never look back, she said to herself even when people forcefully stopped her. She literally walked passed through them when she used her inherited gifts.
Isabelle took a cab and told the driver the address of a particular parking lot where one of her emergency cars was hidden; nobody knew that she owned a car so it was practically safe for her to pursue it.
