Spencer POV

Rolling over I sighed comfortably into the crook of Toby's neck. All morning before the sun had risen I had been running back in fourth to the bathroom. Toby being the hard sleeper he was at times hadn't made an appearance until my third run.

"How are you feeling?" he asked me in a groggy voice. My eyes fluttered open coming in contact with his strong jaw line. "Horrible," I admitted tiredly sitting up. "I'm going to take a shower."

With that said I got out of bed and made my way to the door. Walking to my room, I gathered some clothes and soon found myself stepping into a hot shower. Steam quickly surrounded me as I began washing my hair with shampoo that had the scent of Cherry Blossoms.

Once I was finished I turned the water off and opened the shower door, cold air engulfing me into a soft hug as I stepped out. Quickly grabbing my towel I wrapped it around my body then turned to face the mirror gasping at the massage.

Ever wondered what's going on when your back is turned? -A

I stared at for a few more seconds before poking around to make sure that I was the only one in here but I couldn't see through steam.

Opening the bathroom door all of the steam poured out and I quickly dressed myself before exiting the room. "Spencer?" a voice asked from behind me. I jumped, turning to see that it was just Marian. She narrowed her eyes in confusion. "Sweet heart are you okay?" she asked me. I quickly nodded my head,"I'm fine I just. . . didn't expect you to be here."

She smiled then motioned for me to walk with her. I was hesitant but I tried my best not to show it as I began walking along side her. "How about we have a little chat- get to know each other better?" she asked me. I smiled the idea but couldn't help but feel nervous. "We can go out to eat at a beautiful café not to far from here."

"Yeah I would like that." I admitted. Her smile widened at my answer, it genuine and she seemed relieved. "Before we go I'm going to need to talk to Toby's father so you should probably wait downstairs, I will be there shortly."

She entered a room and I stood there a moment longer to think about what she said. Toby's Father? I thought they were fine now- last night they went out- canceling my thoughts I went downstairs to the kitchen hoping to find one of the girls there.

Thankfully, Emily and Aria were sitting at the counter looking at something on the laptop. "What's going on?" I asked gathering both of their attention.
"Spencer you have to see this." Aria whispered a bit unsure if that's what she wanted or not.

I walked over to where she was and the title had taken me by surprise. "When was this?" I asked after I had finished reading the article. When Aria didn't respond I looked to Emily for an answer.
"There's no exact time it just says that he went missing. . . there is also am article about your mom she's in the hospital in a coma." she answered. I held back my tears not wanting to let anyone see me cry right now.

"What's going on?" Caleb asked as he entered the room. Aria turned the computer towards him and we all notice him pale. "Do you know something?" Aria asked him. He sighed walking over to the refrigerator, just to lean against it.

"Last night," he paused looking at me. "Toby and I went to talk to your dad after you and Hanna fell asleep. . . he kept saying he didn't have much time left."

I felt my heart squeeze in my chest as I remembered the message written in the bathroom. "He wanted you to have this as well," Caleb pulls an envelope out of his and hands it to me. "Toby was going to give it to you later but how is a good time."

"Spencer?" Marian asked from the living room. I handed the envelope back to Caleb,"Can you put it in my room please?" I asked. He nodded stuffing it back into his pocket. I walked into the living room and Marian smiled at me. "Sorry I took so long Daniel could be quite a hand full at times but we should get going now." she said leading the way to her car which was a silver Honda 2016 civic.

It looked brand new and I could tell that part of the reason for that was because of her stay at the sanitarium, once she had gotten back she hadn't actually left the house until last night probably to discuss things with Daniel about their marriage.

A breeze came threw the window as Marian began driving and I relaxed, clearing my head from any negative thoughts that I had in mind at the moment and focusing on the future of my child which resulted in bad thoughts tagging along eventually. All I have to do is be careful, I reminded myself.

"Can I ask you a question?" Marian asked me. I nodded my head slowly,"Sure." the response coming out more awkward than I had intended. Marian chuckled,"It's just a simple question sweet heart," she assured. "I was wondering if you ever thought about college."

I stiffened on the subject. Of course I had thought about college but recently it slipped my mind. "Yes," I admitted. "I've taken college courses when I was in high school and furthering my education has always been the next step but everything happens for a reason right?"

"That's true," she agreed. "Your a brilliant young lady so there is no doubt in my mind that you wont have a bright future."

"Thank you that means a lot especially with a baby along the way. . . I'm a bit nervous but in the end it'll be worth it," I admitted. "The baby will change mine and Toby's life for good and I worry that I wont be able to give my child the childhood that I wish I had."

Marian cast me a look then turned back to the road. "I've heard about your childhood," she murmured sadly. "But don't look back at the past you'll miss the future, time flies by quicker than you think."

We arrived at the café and walked in. The inside was dim, there were couches, tables, etc. The Brew was the name of the place.

"This is one of my favorite places it has amazing coffee," she told me and I frowned knowing that I couldn't drink coffee at the moment. "Let's go have a seat over on the couch."
She made her way over to the couch and I followed in pursuit.

We sat down on the couch and I turned my attention to the TV that just so happened to be playing the news that I heard from Emily and Aria earlier. My phone vibrated and I pulled out my phone to check the message.

I know what happened to your mom, give me what I want and I'll tell you. -A
