Remember what I said about my beauty sleep? Well, I didn't get it. I couldn't sleep remembering how amazing Xavier's lips felt against mine. I can't see straight, think straight, and let's just say I look like hell.

That didn't stop me though, I covered my obvious dark circles with make-up and passed on Starbucks on the way for coffee. And here I am.

"Oh is that you, Athena?" I know that voice. That annoying high-pitched voice. I hate that voice. I look up from the shelf to check if it's really her and unfortunately, it is. Standing there in all her fake Barbie alike glory, was no other than the girl I hate the most.

"Vikki." I looked back to the shelf and muttered under my breath, not giving her the attention she lives for.

"Where have you been, you just disappeared!" Yeah, like you care. Bîtch, I can hear the fakeness in your voice.

I turned to her, about to tell her to leave me alone, but she cut me off and gave me a look over with a disgusted face. "What are you wearing? That's like- so last decade."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not free to go shopping every week. I actually have a life, unlike some people." I shot back and gave her a tight fake smile.

I felt proud when she looked like she wanted to slap me, then she quickly smirked and flipped her fake blonde hair when she saw me happy with my comeback, "Which life? Oh. You mean the one you tried to end-"

She quickly stopped talking once she saw something behind me, she burst out laughing like I just said the funniest thing she has ever heard.

"Babe, look who I've found. I didn't know she had it in her, she's so funny!" She said in an annoying cringe-worthy voice. I turned around to see Adam entering the aisle.

"Oh hey there, Athena! It's been a long time." He grinned when he saw me.

"Hey, Adam." I gave him a slight smile just so I don't be rude. He was the only one who treated me like human after the accident after all.

At first, I thought he liked me. But then one day I entered the school to find his tongue down the school's bîtch throat. Then he started ignoring me. Crush, my asṡ.

He came to stand next to his girlfriend, but gave his attention to me. Which I know is annoying her, since she's an attention seeker. "How are you doin-"

"Babe, didn't you say we need to go to your house fast?" she butted in, turning to put her hands on his chest, kissing his visible collarbone. I feel sick. If they have no problem doing that in public, porn is awaiting.

"Uhh, yeah." He said awkwardly, looking at me apologetically. At least he has some decency to feel embarrassed, unlike the horny freak he calls girlfriend.

Her hand went lower and lower till it reached his v-line causing him to hiss. "Fück, Vikki, stop. We're in public, and Athena is standing right there."

"Oh, I know you like it." she winked, then looked at me and faked a smile, her eyes twinkling with cruelty. "Oh, sorry Athena. I totally forgot you were there."

She thinks she's making me jealous? Ha. Honey, I was making out with a hot demon yesterday, beat that.

"No, it's okay. You guys go, I'm picking up some stuff and leaving anyway." That was me politely saying go and leave me the fück alone.

"Really?!" She said in fake excitement, turning to Adam. "Great! You heard her, baby. She doesn't mind! C'mon, let's go!!"

"You really don't mind?" Adam asked me hesitantly, ignoring her. I can see her gaping at him in disbelief out of the corner of my eyes.

"No, it's fine, really. Have fun you guys." I waved my hands out with fake excitement, putting more stuff in the shopping cart. I'm not coming here anytime soon, so I better pack a lot.

"Alright then, thanks for understanding. It was nice running into you! I hope to see you around-"

"C'mooon." Vikki grabbed him and pulled him away before he finish or say anything, disappearing round the corner.

I let out the breath I've been holding after they left and turned back to the shelves shaking my head. "Gosh, what does he even see in her?"

"A little naive, aren't you, Athena?" a voice came from behind me. I look up and see the angel from yesterday. He smirked at me, but it wasn't playful like Xavier's. It was one that makes your stomach turn upside down.
