I think right now is the most normal I felt for so long, just cooking and jamming around in the kitchen.

When I really think about it it wasn't that long. But a lot of things happened this last week, so it felt like forever.

I woke up so happy after last night's dream. Knowing Xavier is not the bad guy took a little weight off my shoulders, but I'm mostly so happy about him telling me that he cares.

Nobody cared since dad.

While washing the dishes after I ate, the doorbell rang. I closed the faucet and put down the dish.

My mood turned 180° because I know exactly who that is. Who was I kidding thinking I can have normal me time, my life is now nowhere normal.

I dried my hands and headed to the door. I'm not as nervous since I know exactly what to do.

I took a deep breath before opening the door. I was waiting to come face to a shoulder, but I came face to two shoulders.

I look up to find the blonde angel as I expected and another unfamiliar face. He had brown hair, and was also really good looking.

"And we met again!" I exclaimed in fake excitement.

"I'm not here to chat." He said bluntly, a straight face on. Woah, someone is not in a good mood.

"I don't want to hurt you, I just need you to tell us where he is if you know." The other one spoke, jumping into the conversation and not wasting any time.

I sighed, leaning on the door frame. "I wish I could help you, but I hadn't seen him since the last time you came to ask for the dog." That actually wasn't a lie.

"Don't cover up for him. He stole something important from us, we need it back before things get bigger. You're the only one who can help us."

"I already told you, I can't help you. Why would you think he told me where he is when he didn't even tell me why are you after him."

Xavier told me to pretend I didn't see him. He told me if I tried telling them the truth and defend him, they would say he was fooling me, they would even use me to get to him.

The brunette was buying it, I can tell by his face. The blonde one on the hand had his arms crossed with an amused half smile on his face.

"Also tell him if you find him, don't kiss a girl then disappear afterwards." I spat out.

The blonde one chuckled lowly, clapping his hands slowly. "That was great, you should totally consider acting as a career."

Of course, he's not buying it.

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused.

His face turned serious and scary in a blink, "Did you really think that would work? Don't underestimate me, I can kill you."

Huh, says the angel asking a human for help.

I switched on my foot slightly, should I continue the act or should I just let it go?

I have nothing to lose anyway.

"Go for it, I'm not afraid to die." I stood tall, puffed my chest and said with pride.

"What about lover boy, huh?"

I laughed humorlessly, "You want to kill him? Well, good luck with that."

I tilted my head to the side mockingly, "Considering he still has the book."

I don't really know what happened next, but I felt pain in my chest. My throat's closing up, and my mind is screaming for me to let the darkness clouding my eyes in so it all goes away.

"That's enough, it's not her time to die yet. You're messing with the rules, that's not what we do."

I felt the pain go away and my body collapsing to the floor. I felt so weak, I couldn't even open my eyes or breath correctly.

Sleep, my body is screaming for me.

"Third time, you won't be even alive to regret it. I don't care about the fücking rules." was the last thing I heard before I obeyed my body.

Xavier promised me he'll be there when I sleep.
