Kirstin's POV
Beep beep beep
I threw a hand on my alarm clock and slapped the off button. I sighed and got up slowly. The house sounded empty and it was weird. I opened my door slowly and peeped out.
"Mom? Dad?" I called out. No answer. That's strange. I sighed again and closed my door. I took a glance at my desk only to notice a slip of paper sitting on top of it.

Hi sweetie,
Your father and I went to the school early for a meeting. Breakfast is in the kitchen. There is an extra car in the garage just for you. Make sure you have your pass.
Love mom❤️
I smiled and and put the note in my drawer. I then walked over to my closet and opened the double doors. After ages of searching I put together an outfit and headed down stairs. There waiting for me on the counter was my breakfast, and a car key. I smiled and sat down on a bar stool, eager to see the car I would be lucky enough to drive. I shoved all of my books and lunch into my backpack and ran into the garage. Then I saw it. It was a beautiful convertible car. I shrieked as I unlocked the car and got in. My parents obviously wanted to surprise me with this. I couldn't stop smiling as I left for school.

When I arrived at my locker, I noticed two familiar faces standing next to my locker.
"Hey Chanel! Hey Avi!" They both smiled at me.
"Hey girl, why aren't you changed?" Avi asked gesturing to my clothes. I looked at them confused. Chanel sighed.
"Kirstin we have contemporary today," I mentally face palmed. Well shit. Chanel then chuckled.
"Don't worry, you can borrow my spare clothes," I sighed in relief.
"Thank you. Just please don't tell my dad about this or I'll be screwed," we all laughed and headed for the studios, Chanel handing me her spare clothes from her backpack as we made our decent. I got changed then headed into the studio. Immediately I spotted the popular clique and the two most annoying selfish people in the whole school. Mitch spotted me and began to stare. I couldn't help but blush under his gaze, and I hated myself for it. Sadly Chanel and Avi chose the spot on the barre that was closest to the popular clique. I sighed and ran quickly towards them, mentally praying that Catt wouldn't see me. My prays did nothing.
"Aw hey Kristy! How's the 'trying to get pretty' thing going?" She asked rather perkily. I fake smiled.
"Great actually! I use my best traits, kindness, respect, and humbleness. Which I hate to tell you, are the exact opposite traits I'd use to describe you," everyone in the group went 'oooh'. Catt scoffed.
"Is that so? Well I think you need to work on them a little bit more, because if you were kind you wouldn't have just said that about me," I chuckled.
"Oh Catt, you've said worse so I would consider what I just said, very kind," I then fake smiled and walked away. Chanel raised an eyebrow at me.
"Wow you just took Catt down like a boss," Chanel said chuckling.
"Seriously though is her name Catt? Or C*nt? I mean come on" I said sassily. Once we were done laughing I took a small glance at the popular group only to be met by another pair of eyes. Mitch's eyes. He smiled lightly at me, and for once, I smiled back.
Mitch's POV
Once Kirstin left, I knew Catt was going to freak out.
"That bitch," she growled, "I'm so kind, why would she say that about me?" I rolled my eyes.
"Catt it's not that big of a deal," I said, "I'm sure she was just simply throwing shade," Catt looked at me horrendously.
"This is a big deal Mitch. She obviously doesn't know what's she's gotten into and just how much more power I have over her." I sighed. That's true and all but her dad has more power than you.
"Yeah I guess you're right, just ignore Kirstin okay? I'm sure things will clear up," she nodded. I then glanced over at Kirstin who happened to be glancing over at me, I gave her a small smile and she smiled back. I felt my cheeks getting heated but I ignored the feeling.
"Alright class, please start stretching, you're dancers and you should always be ready for anything," Ms Marsden, our dance teacher, stated. As all of the students came centre floor, Catt grabbed my hand and pulled me to the opposite side of the room from Kirstin. She obviously and scoffed. I shrugged. After stretching and doing a few routines, Ms Marsden announced our monthly project.
"For this project, you will be doing a duet. You and your partner will choose a song and choose a dance style to go with it," everyone began to chatter quietly. Catt raised her hand.
"Can we choose our partners?" Catt asked. Ms Marsden sighed.
"No for this project I want you to get to know your fellow peers more," she then took out a clip board, "this was randomly selected," everyone groaned.
"Avi and Jeremy, Chanel and Catt, Mitchell and Kirstin," Kirstin and I looked at each other. I gulped when Catt glared at me.
"Seriously?" She hissed, "you better not turn into one of her robots," Catt said before joining Chanel. I made my way over to Kirstin.
"Hi," I said shyly, "I get it if you don't want to work with me. My girlfriend made quite a scene," she chuckled.
"It's fine, I guess. I just wish you could control her more," she grinned and I nodded my head sheepishly.
"That's basically impossible but I'll give it a try," we both laughed. Kirstin then pulled out her phone.
"So I have a few ideas," she started, "I have this song called Standing By, it's by this really really amazing acapella group. It would make for a killer lyrical routine." I nodded my head.
"Well I also have an acapella song called Water," I started, "it really calls for some role playing and I think we would kill it." She sighed.
"Mitch we have to decide on two songs, that's so hard to do," I chuckled and shrugged.
"Just play them both and which ever one gives you an amazing vision will be the one we perform," she nodded and played Standing By. I really loved the song and the lyrics connected to little bits and pieces of my life. Kirstin then played Water. It really called for a story line in the dance and I loved it.
"Okay I really like Standing By," I said happily, "I can picture us getting an A+ with that dance," Kirstin nodded in agreement.
"Sounds good Mitch, we should probably schedule a practice time at someone's house," I nodded and smiled.
"We can go to my house if you'd like," Kirstin smiled.
"I would love that. I'll call my mom at lunch and let her know," then, as if on cue, the bell rang. I squealed lightly thinking about finally making a friend who isn't a part of my clique.

How would y'all feel if I made a video just talking about myself? I feel like it's something I should do considering that I've made soooo many friends on Wattpad. Should I?
