Mitch's POV
I officially hold the world record for person who dreaded going to school the most. I don't want to go to my friends. I don't want to ride to school with Catt. I don't want to face Kirstin. She hates me now. She even told it to my face. But as usual I went to school with Catt, and I did join my friends. I just didn't talk to Kirstin, even if it was the right thing to do. Of course I saw her in home room, I just couldn't get the confidence to talk to her. Yes, even Mr Popular feels bad about his actions about yesterday, go ahead, tell everyone. I don't care about this anymore. If Kirstin wants to be a drama queen about the situation, she can go right ahead. I'm not dealing with her anymore.Kirstin's POV
Going to school was so difficult for not just me, but also my dad. He let me know that if anyone tries hurting me either emotionally or physically, he will either have them do detention or a 3 day suspension. This doesn't just go for me, it goes for everyone in the school. Even Catt McLean. When I step foot into the school, my mind is a mess. All my thoughts swarm around my head stinging me like bees. I walked cautiously to my locker and threw it open. Cue best friend hug. Chanel then hugged me tightly, I sure was glad to have her. Gosh I would be a hot mess right now if she wasn't my friend. She then let go of me and looked me in the eye.
"Hey, how are you feeling today?" She asked as I grabbed my music history books from my locker.
"I've obviously had better days, but honestly, I'm okay," I said with a weak smile. Chanel smiled back.
"Come on, let's go to music," Avi and I take majors in Music, but Chanel is mostly in Visual Arts. So sadly, she goes with the "basic" class as everyone calls it. Avi and I go to the advanced class. The material is super difficult but I still manage to understand it to the best of my abilities. Chanel and I sit in our usual spot and Avi joins Kevin in the front.
"Good morning class," Mr Osbourne starts, "today we will be taking a look at the adventurous life of Mozart. He was considered the rockstar of his time, and still has a strong presence in music today," I channel out his words as I spot an unfamiliar face in the class. How haven't I noticed him? I don't know. He must be new too though, judging by how the last person to arrive to class is always stuck with him. I must befriend him.
"Okay class, today we will be starting to work on our composer presentations. You will choose an era and a composer and do a timeline of their life. I don't want to see any 20th century nor 21st century composers in the mix though," I sighed as he then sat down at his desk, letting the rest of the class get to work.
"I'll be right back," I mumbled to Chanel before I made my way over to the boy. "Um hi," I said shyly turning the boys attention to me, "I'm Kirstin, I'm new here," the boy smiled and I shook his hand.
"Oh hi, I'm Jeremy. I'm also new," he smiled widely at me, "say, aren't you the principals daughter? I'm in 11B so I don't really see you around often," I sighed and fidgeting my thumbs.
"Yeah, I'm guessing you saw the picture too?" I asked. He nodded sadly.
"All of the grades have seen it thanks to Catt McLame but honestly we've all been through times like that, so I won't judge," I smiled.
"Thanks so much, hey so I have nothing to do after school, do you maybe want to hang out?" He grinned at me.
"I'd like that a lot, I don't really have anyone else to hang out with anyways," I nodded.
"Okay! Meet me by the front entrance right after school," he nodded and turned back to his work, I went back to Chanel and took my seat.
"What was that about?" She asked with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.
" I'm just trying to make new friends, besides he looked lonely," she looked at him and nodded.
"I guess you're right, but my relationship senses are tingling and I think you guys would make a super cute couple," she winked at me. I hit her arm lightly causing her to giggle.
"He is kind of cute now that you mention it," I stated with a smile.
"Boom! Am I a match maker of what?" I chuckled and turned back to my work.
"In your dreams Chanel," I mumbled earning a hit to the arm from her.
After school.
I walk to the front entrance, my bag slumped over my shoulder. Saying I was very excited, was an understatement. This guy was very nice. And very cute, he may even be cuter than the Mitch Grassi. Who am I kidding? He is definitely cuter than Mitch.
"You ready to go?" Jeremy asked making me jump. I giggled and nodded.
"Yeah, just a quick question, where should we go?" Jeremy chuckled.
"I'm not sure, we can go chill by the pool at my place, and don't worry about my parents, they don't really care about who I bring home," I nodded.
"Sounds good and all, but what am I going to wear?" Jeremy paused.
"Damnit you're right, oh! Would you be okay borrowing my sisters bathing suit? She looks like she's the same size as you and I'm sure she'll love you," I nodded.
"Perfect!" We then walk outside and are met by a black Cadillac pulling up. The window went down to reveal a brunette girl.
"Hi Jeremy, who's this pretty girl?" She smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Hi Mckayla! This is Kirstin, we're just going to hang by the pool," Mckayla nodded.
"Yes she can borrow my bathing suit," Mckayla smiled at me again, "hop in," we got into the car and drove off. Soon we started entering my neighbourhood, I definitely recognized all of the houses, soon we pulled up to a house which was literally a block away from my house.
"I didn't know you lived in the same neighbourhood as me," I said amusingly. Jeremy smiled.
"I guess we live very close then, perfect," I felt myself blushing, "I'll be right back," Jeremy said as he went upstairs. I sat down on one of the chairs in the living room. Soon Jeremy came down with his sisters bathing suit. He threw it at me and I caught it. I then ran to the bathroom to get changed, and before I knew it, I was outside sitting on a lawn chair by the infinity pool. The view was amazing and I loved it so much.
"Are you going to jump in?" He asked. I nodded and walked slowly into the pool.
"Sorry if I came a little too strong in class," I said shyly, "I didn't mean to be so outgoing, I'm usually very shy," he shook his head and smiled.
"Honestly it's fine, I've been wanting someone to hang out with for awhile anyways," he then sat closer to me in the pool and I felt myself blushing hard for the second time that day.
"You're very nice Kirstin, anything that Catt does to you, just ignore it. She's only jealous of you because you're a very likeable person," I turned to Jeremy.
"You really think so?" I asked. He nodded.
"Of course, in fact if I'd want anyone to "rule this school" as they call it, I'd want it to be you. You just make everyone happy," I smiled. And in that moment, I don't know what came over me, I just kissed him. Simple as that. Surprisingly, he kissed back. It wasn't one of those kinky kisses where both people are hungry. It was my favourite type of kiss, the sweet kiss. And Jeremy is a really good kisser. When our lips separated, Jeremy and I both chuckled.
"Now Kirstin, I know this may seem forward but, will you be my girlfriend?" My eyes lit up at the words.
"Yes of course I will!" Who thought the worst day of my life could be repaired by one person. Then I realized something, and the only word that escaped was shit.
