So lately I'm binge reading fanfiction on Ao3 and do I like it?
No. NO I DON'T.
Sure, there are good fanfiction there, BUT SERIOUSLY.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE A DIAMON PICKAXE AND DIG YOUR WAY THROUGH THE SHITTY FANFICTIONS.
See, Ao3 is like a heaven for gay smut. Those two words aren't my cup of tea, especially the smut part.
Like, if you like gay smut, seriously, Ao3 is the PERFECT site for you. It's a heaven for you in that case!
Listen, I have to dig through like what, 200 fanfictions [I'm not even kidding!] With the Onslaught tag, and guess what? I ONLY READ AROUND 10-25 FANFICTION THAT I CONSIDERED NOT SMUT/SHIPPING
AND EVEN THEN. EVEN THEN. SOME AUTHORS DON'T GIVE A DANM ABOUT PLACING TAGS THAT SAYS "Implied slash" "Implied smut"
OH NO BECAUSE APPARENTLY THAT WILL DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF READS.
*flips off the author* *groans*
Is it worth it? Eh, overall, if you have time and you waste it on looking through hundreds of smut, then sure. It's worth it. At least there isn't much Mary Sues on that website.
Overall, Ao3 is like the backup site in case Fanfiction.Net doesn't have enough fanfiction.
You just need a keen eye, and you'll find some gold in the trash. Like I found in some fanfiction. What's best about Ao3, though, is the factor that you can comment on the story, and vote, without being a member.
Now excuse me as I look up smut-less fanfiction
-Fae needs Combaticon bromance in Ao3 not smut DX
