Angels POV
Its been a couple weeks, and I haven't talked to Ricky since I left. I feel like something's wrong but I ignore the feeling and more on with the rest of my life. I've been talking to David more often finding out a lot of new things about him, he is truly and amazing guy. I haven't made anything serious with him yet even though he's ready, but im not and I'm happy he understands that. I was playing with my baby girl when I heard a knock at the door, it was Ricky.
"Hey Angel sorry it took so long. I was handling something's" He said not looking me in the eye, he tried to come in but I wanted to see his eyes because he kept his head to the ground.
"Look at me!" I said when he looked up his eyes were blood shot red. This dude was high and he trying to come and take my baby for the weekend no! Nope I don't know what planet he living on, but I live on earth and smart people don't hand they kid over to a pot head. "Forreal dude! Really! That the reason we left and you coming back up at me with like this." I said getting ready to close the door.
"Girl I aint high if that what you thinking." he said clearly lying because aint nobody stupid. I rolled my eyes.
"Ricky you want us to come back right?" I asked hoping he would say yes. He nodded his head.
"Then stop doing what your doing ! I want to give you another chance believe me when I say I do . But when you coming to my door step like the there isn't a way in hell im ever going back home with you. I have to set a good example for my daughter." I said looking at Christina play with her blocks, he nodded.
"Im sorry girl! An you better believe im going to try baby! I'm going to try for you and my baby girl!" he said. "I don't like being like this !" He said with tears in his eyes. "You don't think I look in the mirror at myself in disgust at what I've done!" he said, "but im going to get better for our family ! Count on it." he said turning to walk away, his words where powerful, and everything but I hope it wasn't another one of those Empty Promises.
