Finally after 5 years. Well it's felt like five years, probably been about a year I guess. Enjoy:)

Third POV

"Luke, I think you learning sign language is really going to help Del get to the point where she can talk again." Leelah explained to him while they were in the front room of the bus that night.

"Do you really think so?"

"I know so. I think she really enjoys being with you guys. She might just have a hard time expressing what she's feeling sometimes."

"I can see that considering what she's been through. We think of her as our sister and we want to protect her from Him to the best of our ability." Luke said, sitting on the couch.

"She might understand that. She doesn't have any blood siblings so she probably doesn't understand the bond you boys have."

"Yeah, but you both are close, and like sisters."

"I sometimes feel like her mom figure."

They didn't know that Delilah was listening to their conversation, crying because of the words that were spoken.

They care. They actually care.

Delilah ran to her room, jumping on the bed.

Why do they care so much? What if He tries to get me back? Will He hurt them? Me even? What are we gonna do?
