Luke's POV

"Del, are you okay?"

We had heard her scream the first time, but we were watching a horror movie.

I volunteered to check on her.

"Lilah, if you can hear me, make a noise. I'm not going to hurt you."

I heard a couple whimpers come from the other side of the bed.

"Lilah, can I come to you?"

She whimpered again, and I walked over to the side of the bed.

I saw her, just laying there. Shaking like a leaf.

"Lilah, is it okay if I touch you?"

She nodded her head, and I could see the tears racing down her cheeks.

I sat down with my back against the bed railing, and pulled her into my lap.

"You wanna talk about it?" I asked, but figured she'd never crack.

She shook her head no, and continued to shake.

"Delilah, whatever happened in your dream, won't happen here. I won't let that happen, and neither will the other boys. Rayna and Kayleen will be here to protect you as well. I promise."
