"What are we gonna do? She probably thinks that we didn't even read her file."

"We have to make her keep thinking that. Then we can swoop in with gifts, and she'll love us forever," Calum said.

"That may be, Cal, but she might hate us if we keep up this charade," Luke told him.

"True, but we could get Kayleen and Rayna in on this as well," Ashton compromised.

"Nah, they'd probably blab to her. We should just keep them thinking we don't have anything planned."

"Del might get mad, but I think we can pull it off."

"Okay, so here's how the plans gonna go......"

The boys scrambled away from each other, and looked at me and Leelah wide eyed.

"Uh, what do you mean?"

I started to mentally sing 'What Do You Mean' by Justin Bieber. Hey, I can't help it, okay? That song is catchy, don't judge me.

"Were you just singing Justin Bieber?"

'Uh, no?' I signed, blushing.

"Sure you weren't, Del."

'Shut up, Luke.'

'No, child.'

"Y-You signed?" Calum asked, astonished. (I'm in 10th grade now, and had no idea how to spell this. That's sad.)

"Yeah, I've been taking online classes for it."

"What is this dark magic?" Michael asked, throwing his hands in the air.

'So, do you guys have anything planned for my birthday?'

'If we did, we'd tell you.'

'For as long as I've known you guys, you'd keep your plans a secret.'

"Don't keep us outta the loop. We wanna know what's going on, too," Michael complained.

"Should've learned how to sign," Luke said smugly.
