Oikawa Tooru was always showered in chocolates and gifts on a daily basis. And when it's his birthday, the gifts just double in sizes. From other people's views, it seems he is the happiest man on Earth, but when Oikawa returns home no one awaits for him. His parents were always on business trips so birthdays were never celebrated until a month or so later. The popular volleyball player that everyone adored and some even despises was none other than a lonely man from behind the curtain of the grand king image.

A sigh escaped from his lips as the calendar on his wall came to view. It was his birthday today and nobody was around. Sure he had his teammates but they had other things important to do. Probably the only one who would stay over was Iwaizumi, but since he's been occupied with his girlfriend lately, Oikawa had no one really to spend the day with. As he exit his house dressed in his school uniform, he put on the fake smile and headed for school.

"Good morning everyone!~" he waved and smiled brightly as they handed him gifts and presents.

"Happy birthday, Oikawa-sama!" the girls would swoon over him and shower him in gifts and handmade chocolate. He took them and thanked them with his usual killer wink. The day went on and volleyball practice was the same. Or at least that's what Oikawa thought until he slammed one of his volleyball into the after school's president student committee.

"Ah, sorry!" he immediately ran to you and made sure you were alright. You only chuckled in return and shook your head, "It's ok! I was in the way of the volleyball anyways."

Oikawa helped you up and apologized again with a 90 degrees bow. You assured him it was fine and headed for the coach.

"Sorry about that, it's his birthday today so I guess he's a little worked up," the coach laughed and nodded before listening to what you have to say. Once you were done with talking about the upcoming sports festival, you headed out. Your eyes wonder over to Oikawa who was practicing.

"It's his birthday but why does he seem so down?" you mumbled before exiting. You left the gymnasium and went back to your school work. It wasn't long before you were done, and you headed out of the school campus. Surprisingly, at the same time the volleyball players were done too and you saw Oikawa heading out. You smiled and headed towards him.

"Ah, hey!" you stopped beside him and smiled. He turned to look at you and remembered who you were.

"Ah! You're the girl-," he widened his eyes and pointed at you. You laughed and playfully glared at him, "You know my arm still hurts a lot right now."

"It does?" he reached for the spot he accidentally hit you with the volleyball earlier. Your cheeks were beginning to heat up as you knocked his hand away.

"A-ah, in return for forgiveness," you stated and smiled. "Let's go eat out?"

"E-eat out?" Oikawa asked and tilted his head. You nodded eagerly and pointed to your arm to remind him of what he had done.

"A-ah ok," he replied and awkwardly smiled. You clapped your hands together and the two of you headed off.

"There's a place I want to go to," you told him and dragged him away. It was a ramyun shop close to your apartment complex. You visit there often that even the grandmother and grandfather there had joked to others that you were their granddaughter.

"Hello, grandmother~" you bowed and greeted her. She greeted you back delightfully and when she saw that Oikawa was with you, her face brightened up even more.

"A friend?" she asked. Oikawa looked at you and then back at the old woman in front of him.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Oikawa Tooru," he smiled at the grandmother. She offered the special table to you and Oikawa and took your orders and a special order from you before leaving.
