● Takeda Ittetsu : Piece By Piece

You watched as the figure disappeared into the crowd. His cold back turned to you as he headed for the check in gate in the airport. You ran your fastest and attempted to stop him from leaving. You had wished for a miracle that could change his mind and the old loving him would return. Instead you were met with a yellow envelope filled with the completed divorce papers to the face and a wedding ring thrown to the floor. He was now long gone and on a plane to the United States leaving you and your daughter behind.

It became difficult for you to make sense of the following days. You had to admit, you would've done something stupid if it wasn't for your daughter's existence. Although she was only 6, her body and soul was that of an adult. She understood the situation well and was hurt. But she picked herself up in order to help you. She helped you slowly cured from the heartache and eventually the two of you moved out from Tokyo and into Torono Town located in the Miyagi prefecture.

You promised a new life for you and your daughter. She attended elementary school and made many new friends and grew to love volleyball. You on the other hand opened up a small restaurant in hopes to bring up the spirits of anyone who came by.

One day, the store became busy and you had lost track of time. You hadn't realize that your daughter wasn't home yet. It wasn't until the last customer headed out that she stepped through the door with a taller male behind him. His black curly hair was quite a mess and his glasses gave you the creepiest feeling. You took your daughter's hand softly and thanked the man. He chuckled and his whole image changed for you completely.

"She was watching Karasuno High's volleyball match," he clarified and pat her head. You look down at her and recieved a big smile.

"Mommy! They were so cool!" she shouted and began copying some moves she had stamped into her brain. "There was an orange hair boy who jumped really high! He was almost my height! He went BAMM and GOOSH and the ball went in!"

You stared at how happy your daughter was and chuckled. It had been a long time since you last saw her laughed so carefree.

"She's a fan of one of our players," he smiled. You tilted your head, "Are you the coach?"

He immediately shook his head and denied any right that he was the coach, "I-I'm only the advisor!"

"Mommy, can we go watch them together next time?" your daughter tugged on your apron. You nodded your head in agreement and told her to take her backpack off in her room upstairs.

"A-ah I forgot to introduce myself!" the glasses man stumbled upon his own feet before reaching his hand out. "I'm Takeda Ittetsu!"

"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm (L/N) (F/N)," you shook his hand and chuckled. "Would you like anything to eat or drink?"

Takeda shook his head and nicely rejected your offer, "I actually have to head home-"

"Takeda-sensei! Can you stay for dinner?" (D/N) head down the stairs and stopped in front of him.

"Sweetie, he has to go home to his family," you told her and apologized to Takeda. He shook his head, "There's no one at home waiting for me, it wouldn't hurt to stay for dinner would it?"

"I'm so sorry for how (D/N) is acting," you continued to bow. He assured you it was fine and you helped prepare dinner. Takeda helped (D/N) closed up the front shop and came to help set up. That night was the first time dinner felt whole for some odd reason. You felt happy and in your daughter's eyes she was beyond more than happy. This made you think who was this Takeda and what have he done to your family, in a good way of course. You told (D/N) to bid goodbye and start her homework while you escourt Takeda out of the shop. After a small hug and a pat to the head, your daughter left upstairs. You and Takeda exit the shop and stopped.
"Thanks for today," you mentioned and gave him a soft smile. He nodded, "I'll be heading home then, bye (L/N)-san."
